Thanks so much for the review!! I really appreciate the comment because I actually just received my kit today :) I'm eager to try it, and I'll be sure to switch to my 182 brush for application.

I picked up the $20 intro set in the neutral tone (it comes in warm, olive, and neutral...nothing for folks needing deeper or cooler tones, sadly), and FWIW, here's my review...

1) the kabuki brush's fibers are quite harsh and it shed all over my face, so I switched to my mac 129 to apply the products.

2) the foundation powders are nice; much more fine and buttery than I expected, and didn't cake or flake my dry skin and did a better job of concealing my pores than Philosophy the Supernatural, which is the mineral makeup I usually use. I wish they made a cooler color for the sample pack, because even the neutral tint is a little too yellow on me, but they do offer cooler tones in the full line.

3) There's a dual bronzer/contour compact which is AWESOME. I've been kicking myself for not picking up Emote, but the contour shade in this fills that void, and has a smoother texture than I remember Emote having. The bronzer/highlighter is a gorgeous, glowing gold with the same great smooth texture. This is totally worth the $20.

4) To finish it off is a really nice refreshing spray that leaves you feeling smooth and smelling of delicate rosewater.

All in all, despite the disappointing brush, I think it's a great introduction to the line. I know this is a long comment on an older post, sorry, but since I learned about it here to begin with, I just thought I'd add my 2 cents! Thanks!
