Milani Caribbean Sea Runway Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches

Milani Runway Eyeshadow: Caribbean Sea

Milani Caribbean Sea Runway Eyeshadow ($5.99 for 0.07 oz.) is such a pretty shade of aqua blue… if you use it wet.  When used dry, it’s rather lackluster and almost takes on a greenish cast; it’s also on the sheer side.  However, add just a touch of fixing spray or water to your brush before picking up the shadow yields a much more intense, pigmented shade of lightened aqua blue.  You’ll need to pack on the color, rather than sweep on, to get the best results.  It’s not a great eyeshadow, but it’s workable when wet.

Check out my original review for my thoughts on the packaging.

  • Product: 23/30
  • Value: 8/10
  • Ease of Use: 4/5
  • Packaging: 2/5

RECOMMENDATION: Color eyeshadow fiends should probably pass, just because it’s nowhere near as pigmented as many top brands for color–but if you just want to play around and experiment with color, this is an affordable way to do so.

For some reason, this reminds me of the 80's...

not liking this one either... so far this collection has been unimpressive imo!

I love this!!!! wish we had milani in canada....

We do! Well at least in Ontario, it's in a supermarket called Fortinos.

Looks so pretty in the pan... but alas, payoff is not up to par. Such a shame...

Mhm looks too pastel for my taste . I dont like it at all ;P

It looks like a more vibrant version of Mutiny pigment.

This one isn't so bad. I don't think anyone is really crazy about the pigmentation of these Milani eyeshadows, but it does have a pretty wash of color. These would make great gifts for middle school girls, since they're affordable and nothing too bold. I could see myself playing with these and wearing them to school if I was at that age.

This is really pretty. And once again, your close-up shot is stunning. I am not much of a blue eyeshadow girl, but I love the colour. This would look really great on tanned skin teamed with bronzes and peaches.
