Milani Blue Lagoon Runway Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches

Milani Blue Lagoon Runway Eyeshadow

Milani Runway Eyeshadow: Blue Lagoon

Milani Blue Lagoon Runway Eyeshadow ($5.99 for 0.07 oz.) looks so full of beautiful blue promise, but it really falls flat.  This was the worst shade that I tried out of the six (there are twelve in total, so I don’t know how it compares against the six I haven’t tried)–it’s just so sheer.  It’s even ridiculously sheer when used wet.  The color practically disappears, and instead of a brightened medium blue, you get this sheered navy blue with flashes of lighter blue sheen.  I think the swatches speak for themselves, to be honest!

Check out my original review for my thoughts on the packaging.

Wow, that swatch is VERY disappointing. o_o

I would hate to buy this e/s and think I was getting exactly what is in the pan. How deceitful! Is it marketed as sheer at all? I expect to get what I see!

What a shame! I want to take a vegetable peeler to it and just put a thick layer on my lids!

honestly everyone says drugstores sell the same stuff as department stores, thats complete bull, spend the 8 extra dollars and buy the same shade by mac.

That just show you can't judge the color from the pan!

the packaging is SO cheap! if I had this in my collection, i would probably through it away because it's so ugly. lol.

i want this eyeshadow i know what your htinking but when it comes to bright color the sheerer the better

I must be one of the rare ones who likes it more on hand than in packaging.

Such a shame because the shadow is gorgeous in the pan.

Ah, what a shame - the colour looks so beautiful in the pan!

This actually reminds of a blue that was in one of MAC's holiday palettes. I thought it was more pigmented then it turned out to be. Bummer. It was accompanied by an even less pigmented mint color.

I actually like the color!! I don't mind it's sheerness. My question is, does it stay put or is there a lot of fallout?

There's some fall out - not the worst, but you'll need to clean up before going out!

HAHAHAHAHAH! What is that? Ewww, Milani, get your head on strait! GAH I'll stick with my gorgeous M.A.C Bell Bottom Blue Pigment!!!!!!

Such a pretty colour, what a shame, they should change its formulation perhaps

Makes me think of the UD stardust shadows. Maybe it wouldn't be such a let down if it was marketed as being sheer?

Definitely - if it's supposed to be sheer, then I rate with that in mind! I wouldn't grade a product down if it was supposed to be sheer - even if I personally wanted it pigmented!

I guess I am becoming an old fart, because I like the sheer colors better than the pan color.

I think it would be a great idea if we could browse the reviews by rating. for example, being able to see all the products rated F, like its possible with other tags. I havent seen this option thou maybe you have it already???

You can... just click the tags, which are at the bottom. http://www.temptalia.com/tag/rating-f

i didnt see it! oopss!! THANKS!

Yuck. I think I found better quality eyeshadow in those old makeup palettes my parents gave me when I was a kid (the ones that come with 80 or so eyeshadows, nail polish and lipstick that sell for $10 at Walmart...).

hi dear, I have been looking for à good définition of sheer, mat, frost etc textures, I cannot really find It, did you do something like that?I went throughout thé blog but cannot find It!Thank you in advance

In general, it kind of depends on the brand!

there's no color at all, for such a pretty shade.

Such a shame, it looks so beautiful in the pan. :(

I'd be embarrassed to market such a product! You certainly can't judge a book by its cover in this case!

This is so disappointing because I have other milani products that are great. I'm glad I didn't buy these though!

Aww, lol at "Run away!" :) It looks so pretty in the pan. :(

i'm not a huge fan of milani eyeshadows because they have a lot of fall out

Such a shame, looks so wonderful in the packaging :(

To be honest, I actually like your swatches! I see how sheer they are, but I love sheer and especially the wet swatch looks quite pretty to me. I might be the only one to like it, but I do think its nice. :)

I think the swatches are pretty too! I'm may get one. :)

Hi, can u tell me where to find Milani Cosmetics in London? I'm from Italy but i have to came in Uk next mounth :)

I'm not sure - the best place to check would be their website & use the store locator!

Hey, Milani is not available in the UK

its just funny as heck to me when I read your reviews and scroll down to see a big fat juicy F and "pass skip run away do not pass go, do not collect $200. I literally laughed out loud. Christine you are hilarious ROFL!

noooooooo that's SUCH a pretty colour in pan.
