Michelle Williams @ 2011 Golden Globe Awards

Michelle Williams @ 68th Golden Globe Awards

Michelle Williams has always been a favorite of mine, and I’m actually loving the coral lip on her.  Hope we can find out what she’s wearing!

Makeup How-to

“We were inspired by the classic beauty of Jean Seberg and Mia Farrow. Luminous fresh skin was key, and a super lashed eye gave a nod to those classic beauties. A fresh coral lip kept the look modern and new.” — Jeanine Lobell

“As a base, I used a new foundation from CHANEL, Vitalumiere Aqua in B10 (available in March). It’s a super light, sheer formula with great coverage.  On Michelle’s cheeks, I used CHANEL Powder Blush in Espiegle, a beautiful shimmery pink-coral.  Her eyes were Kevyn Aucoin Essential Eye Shadow Palette #2, and applied two coats of Kevyn Aucoin Lash Curler Volume Mascara.  I set her brows with CHANEL Perfect Brows.  Finally, on her lips I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Chalys.”

See her dress!

  1. love this!!! she looks gorgeous!! that lip color is the perfect color for her!! cute dress too!!

  2. Ashley

Love the makeup and hair, not entirely loving the dress though.

  3. Evelyn

I really like her but I think the whole thing from hair color to dress color is really aging her.

  4. Sam

Hair and makeup are beautiful but that dress is a tragedy.

  5. Roxanne

Not loving the dress. It looks ill-fitting and in need of a good steam/iron. I do, however, love the coral lip against her hazel/green eyes. Gorgeous!

  6. Lucie

Love her hair and make up, not such a big fan of the dress. Looks rather matronly. I gave my hair stylist a picture of her yesterday to show him what kind of cut I wanted!

  7. Sandrine

Oh, this is sad. Michelle always looks chic on the red carpet but this dress… Still loving her hair though. Suits her perfectly.

  8. amy

I would like the dress more if the shoulder straps were different…too much/overdone

  9. Maggie

Not to hot on the dress, but Michelle Williams is so totally adorable that it doesn’t really matter :)

  10. CeeBee

Hair and makeup look nice but that dress… looks like a cross between a sack and a frilly picnic tablecloth. She looks amazing in bright, jewel tones so it’s a shame she looks so washed out in this.
Here’s hoping she wears a stunner for the Oscars (like that yellow frock with the red lip a couple of years back!)

  11. Gina

OMG I need to know what’s on her lips! That coral lip is just perfect!

  12. ISN’T SHE JUST THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING?
AND SHE ROCKS THAT SHORT HAIR. I LOVE GIRLS WITH SHORT HAIR…. SO SEXY!

totally agree. she looks adorable in the pixie (although she also has fabulous hair, one of the lucky ones who can pull off either way)

  13. Astrid

Oh, she looks so sad. No wonder after all what she’s been through…

  14. Dawn

Her hair and makeup look gorgeous, and that lipstick is just perfect. Can’t say the same for the dress, though

signature pixie and flowers, I would have liked to see her in something softer with more color. she has a beautiful figure the dress didn’t do justice.

  16. Siri

What happened with that dress..? She’s usually so gorgeous, but no just.. no.
    Make up was ok..

I’ve heard she’s just actually very quiet and shy and it’s probably still tough going back to the red carpet crowd without Heath. She probably was looking more to blend in than stand out. I think she’s beautiful as always just still has a sad look. I would too in her shoes. Glad she has Matilda.

  17. Deb

    That dress…doesn’t fit. Anyone. No.

Hair and makeup are nice, though.

she’s adorable. I always love Michelle’s looks whether long curls or one of the top pixie’s out there. She has the good fortune to carry off either. Love the soft makeup, very feminine and demure. I think her outer beauty reflects a strong inner beauty and heavier makeup wouldn’t fit. I like her better in pinks but this went with the dress (cute, Michelle-like in style, but just not the most flattering– I’d have loved to see her in a pretty pastel floral, like Monet garden type shades). gorgeous though.

  19. The dress doesn’t look suitable for a red carpet event. Loving her makeup though. The coral lips looks gorgeous on her!

  20. allie

she could wear a paper sack and mud for make-up and still look like a million bucks.

  21. Electra

Dress is hideous. One of Michelle’s very, VERY few red carpet missteps (or even style missteps). Do we think her daughter picked it out? That’s the only way I can explain this away.

I’m not loving the makeup, either…a bit too bronzey for her porcelain skin, I think. I have trouble pulling off similar shades.

Hair is flawless, as always. Makes me miss my pixie cut! :) .

  22. I really love her hair and makeup but not so much her dress or posture! She looks a little hunkered down.
