I used to be very guilty of this. I used to keep packages for months, even after I knew I loved the product and it worked for me. I’ve made several makeup resolutions this year and one of them was to put a hault […]

Haul: Nothing! Low-buy 2014.
Weekend plans: Well, I guess technically you can say my weekend started last night with a few too many drinks, lol. But on Sunday the hubs and I are going to dinner and a […]

Lips and cheeks.

Skin tone: Fair; neutral leaning slightly warm undertone
Every day blush: Tarte Exposed or Wet ‘n’ Wild Heather Silk
Bold blush: Tarte Natural Beauty
Finish: Satin

I’m sure I’ve been guilty of it a couple of times, but it’s not what draws me in. The only aspect of buying something because of packing is functionality. If, for example, a pressed powder is notorious for […]

No need to when you’ve got a MU remover that works for the whole face. Plus I’d rather use my fingers on my eyes than a cotton round so I can have more control and be more gentle. I used to use coconut oil but it […]

I have 2 personal guidelines.
1. Prioritize what you need. For example, I have yet to find a mineral foundation that I like so I should be looking into that rather than spending money on a new lipstick that I […]

I’m going on a beauty low-buy for the ENTIRE year. Realistically I don’t think that will be a problem because there are a few things I’m saving up for that I am equally as passionate about as makeup & beauty […]

Oh boy, I used that to set my foundation one day last month and had a HORRIFIC breakout afterwards. I blamed the foundation and returned it, but now I’m wondering if it was the lighting powder. I never used it on […]

Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Blissful. The color showed up on my finger but there was no pigmentation at all when I actually swatched it on my hand. I think I got a dud and I’ve heard of this happening to others as well.

Christine, I totally agree! My hair isn’t *too* long (a little past my shoulders) and it doesn’t take me a long time either, but I dread the mornings when I have to do the whole wash, blow dry, flat iron routine. […]

I love What A Feeling! It looks like it could possibly replace Revlon Strawberry Shortcake for me… which I love the color of but loathe the chalky consistency.

I agree. I started wearing eyecream when I was about 22, and looking back that was too much money wasted over the past 4 years. I now use Cetaphil Cream too and it works just as well. (And takes FOREVER to finish that tub!)

MAC Amplified Cremes, and I will always stand by Revlon’s Lip Butters.

Well, it seems like a lot of people here would respond a lot more politely than I would. I would tell that person they could use some. Not because I care what they think, but because I treat people the way they treat me.

I agree. I’m 26, and after using eye creams for quite a few years now, I feel I’ve been wasting my money as I haven’t seen any beneficial outcomes. I don’t have major problems around my eye area (just a little […]

Lately, any of my Ambient Lighting powders, but I’m especially enjoying the palette.

My favorite beauty tip is to give your skin a break from foundation at least once or twice a week – it needs to breathe! :)
