I like the handle, the shape of some of the brushes, and I really like the naming (kusabi means wedge, for instance, and kusuriyubi means ring finger) — But I’ve sworn off white/light-bristled brushes, as they […]

Your swatches and reviews, mainly! <3

Aside from the obvious decanting and pre-made travel size/deluxe sample options (especially for things like foundation), I also rely on loose eyeshadows in sample baggies and cream eyeshadow in stick form to save […]

Probably Mamechiyo. They’re a modern kimono designer, and I think they had a collaboration with Shu Uemura once (which was absolutely gorgeous).

I think I’ll pass on this, especially upon hearing how strongly it tastes! No, thank you.

Responding to your reply: HOW.

Responding to the question itself: I guess, kind of? Although most of them didn’t end up as obsessed as I am…

Christine, just letting you know that the review portion for Apple Crisp on the product page contains the review and dupe list for Berry Strudel instead.

All of them! I’ve vowed to stop kind of liking only parts of me that society doesn’t deem TOO hideous, so I may as well accept all of them equally. :)

Beauty standards and beauty rules exist solely as a tool of oppression. It’s not your job to satisfy other people’s idea of beauty. You’re worth so much more than how attractive men think you are — Especially […]

Frequent lip balm reapplication (either using something by Epically Epic, Nivea Lip Butter, or Aquaphor) and Lanolips before bed. I sometimes exfoliate with a very soft toothbrush as well, but that’s about it.

I’m generally not too fond of liquid lipsticks, especially matte ones. I’m a chronic lip balm addict and matte liquid lipsticks tend to feel really dry and clingy, which I just hate. The glossy ones aren’t all […]

That makes a lot of sense. I totally understand. :)

Unscented really is overrated! I used to love rose, vanilla, and candy-scented lip products, but when they start tasting like anything, it ruins the whole […]

They do kick up a lot of excess powder, so primers definitely help. Having oily lids help too, I suppose. (for once XD )

I don’t blame you! You try out so many things as is, so testing time is probably a […]

Oh yay, thank you for this! I’ve been contemplating getting Whispering Ibis and Golden Rhea for a while, so I’m glad those two are rated pretty decently. :)

That’s genius. Bronzers tend to come in bigger packaging, too, which is great for any staple product.

I do own Embalm and I quite like it, but it’s limited edition so I kind of hoard it. Ossuary is quite similar to Embalm, just with cooler undertone and available permanently. It works okay on my NC25 skin, thankfully.

I quite like the few RBR eyeshadows that I own, although keep in mind I have oily lids and I always wear primer. Then again, I tend to only wear them when I want something that doesn’t really have much impact. The […]

Wet ‘n’ WIld Brulee or Detrivore Cosmetics Ossuary.

I usually go for no make-up and slather on the sunscreen. If I have to go outside in the summer, chances are I’d run out of energy (or spoons, as they say in chronic illness communities) really quickly due to my […]

Apart from learning about ingredients and being good about sunscreen, I’d say switching Neutrogena and Paula’s Choice have done pretty great things to my skin. Previously I was using some really harsh anti-acne […]
