There’s no clear winner since I like to try lots of different brands, but I probably use NARS, Urban Decay, and Tarte products the most.

How often do you wash your hair: When I had an office job, every day. Now that I work from home and don’t need to look fancy, it’s every other day.

I can’t do red lipstick. I always look like a clown!

I mainly wish that the Amazonian Butter lipsticks had more staying power. The colors are so lovely but you have to reapply a lot. Adore the blushes, and the Amazonian Clay foundation keeps my face pretty matte. I […]

I tie between Urban Decay’s Scorch (bronze shimmer) and MAC’s Technakohl liner in $$$ (slightly lighter bronze-gold.) Both are great for pale-faced blondes.

That’s a tough one–I have so many blushes! Probably NARS Gaiety (good basic pink) or MAC Casual Color in Relaxation (pink with a hint of lavender.)

Agreed! I initially thought Dominique would be too dark for me, but I just apply it lightly and it’s perfect.

Definitely Benefit’s Gimme Brow. It never looks painted on.

I’ve been really happy with the blushes, both stick and powder. I had high hopes for the glosses but the one I bought, Tres Leches, turned out to be a major disappointment. It swatched beautifully on my arm but […]

I actually hated these the first time I tried them–it looked like I’d tried to paint my lips with chalk. But now I’m wondering if the tester I used was just really dried out…when I tried it again at Sephora the other day for the heck of it, I really loved it! Very smooth and long-lasting. And it’s a great pink shade–bright but not obnoxiously so.

Neutrogena’s oil-free eye makeup remover rocks! Takes off my waterproof mascara very easily.

All rave, no rant! (Well, except for Great Lash mascara–I’ve never understood the appeal.) Love Baby Lips, the new Lash Sensational mascara, the BB cream for acne-prone skin, and the Dream Bouncy blush. […]

Last beauty product that disappointed me: Urban Decay’s new powder foundation. It looked really cake-y and unnatural on me.

Most over-hyped beauty product I didn’t […]

I confess I’ve never liked these (I know I’m the only one!) but the metallic finish is winning me over.

A lot of the products I love most intensely are limited edition and it’s so frustrating! As much as I love the added range of options that limited edition collections provide, I just can’t take the constant heartbreak. :)

Yes to fewer collections! It’s become very noticeable how repetitive they are—how many LE red lipsticks do they really need to release in a year? Really, everything is awfully dark…lipsticks, eye shadows, etc. I’m […]

Awesome giveaway! I’m all about lips, so I’d be using the Urban Decay and Nars items first!

I wouldn’t say I hate NARS Audacious lipsticks because the formula is great…I’m just bummed that the colors didn’t work for me at all. The only one that did was Anna. The shades looked way much better on you, Christine!

I think they’re pretty pointless. Lousy moisturizers with zero coverage. The lone exception is Maybelline’s Pure BB 2% salicylic acid acne treatment. It’s thicker—more like a sheer foundation.

Wow, this is tough—I guess I’m not that brand-loyal! I think it really depends on the product, since some brands really nail a particular thing. As far as lipstick goes (my personal obsession), Tarte and MAC win. […]
