Hi Kimberley,

Thank you! Even though I’m all about color and wear it often, whenever I’ve done more neutrals, going super bright (like BLUE!) still makes me feel a bit awkward. So I still remember and know how it feels to be wary of using color

My best advice? Experiment at night, have fun at home – don’t worry about having to wear it out or anything. My other tip is to make weird faces in the mirror when you have it on. Reminds you it’s just fun!

Great article, very well worded, and encouraging. I’m one that likes guidelines.. and rules – but makeup, and using colour is definitely intimidating. I guess I have to step outside of the box and experiment – like you said, its not permanent. Its about being confident. I know that since I started wearing makeup – its been about making that effort, feeling confident in myself, rather than looking like I just rolled out of bed. Bookmarking this article for sure
