MAC Lipglasses: Hush, Hush Rose, Electric Fuchsia, Cultureclash
MAC Spring Colour Forecast: Lipglasses Reviews, Photos, Swatches (Part 1)
Each part has a few lipglasses; the first two parts have three each, while the last two parts have two each. This gives us a grand total of ten freakin’ lipglasses to take a look at, whew! This part includes the lipglasses from parts one and two, and the second part will contain lipglasses from parts three and four. (I split posts to help ensure that our server can sustain the load of people downloading images–and preferably, not 50 images at once!) My favorites: Hush, Hush Rose, Electric Fuchsia, and Kumquat. What are your favorites?
Spring Colour 1 Forecast — Lipglasses
- Hush, Hush Rose is a semi-sheer strawberry pink with golden shimmer. I imagine this looking a bit raspberry on those with more red pigmentation in their lip color.
- Electric Fuchsia is a bright magenta fuchsia with violet shimmer. This is purpler than Magnetique and not as creamy–a little sheerer, more shimmery.
- Cultureclash is a sheer baby pink with yellow undertones. It looks more medium-pink when swatched, but when applied, I found it rather milky pink with silver sparkle.
Spring Colour 2 Forecast — Lipglasses
- Kumquat is a tangerine orange gloss with lighter orange shimmer. When applied, I see a good dose of shimmer and glossiness, with some of the tangerine color coming through.
- Cha Cha is a medium pink with lighter pink and almost fuchsia shimmer in it. It applies semi-opaque to my lips and gives me a pinker, shimmery pout.
- Ember Glow is an orange-y beige cream gloss with a smidgen of shimmer. On my lips, it looks creamy and gives decent color. I do find creams have a tendency to settle into lip lines and not go on as evenly as I’d like, but this one wasn’t too bad.

Christine! I need your help. I have one more B2M and am not sure if I should cash in or not... Is Cha Cha worth getting or is there better/similar ones in the Perm line up??? I have already picked up Hush, Hush Rose and Viva Glam VI SE.
Cha Cha is just okay to me. I don't know, it doesn't seem very special to me. Maybe just hold onto your B2M for another launch!
Electric Fuschia looks like the lipglass version of Funtabulous d/g. It looks delish, I must snag it! & the coral glosses @.@ Heaven knows I'm an absolute sucker for coral/ tangerine/ apricot lipglosses! AAAH!♥ Thanks Christine! :D
I'm getting Kumquat for sure. I know that much. I have too many purple lipglosses to see myself getting more. I love Electric Fuchsia tho, but I guess I just don't "need" it. lol. Ember glow is pretty but it'll settle in the lines of my lips too much I think. My lips are WAY too full for it not to look funky... *sad*
It's like MAC has read my list of products I wish they had... Hush, Hush Rose and Kumquat are brilliant! hahahaha... ok, I'm 5 years old right now but the name KUMQUAT has always made me laugh :) On a serious note - does Electric Fushcia remind you of the pink or purple lipgelee from the Lilyland Collection?
I *have* to get Cha-cha, Ember Glow, and Culture Clash. I will still have to check out Electric Fuchsia. I really love these lipglasses!
The colors are pretty but the look very transparent on the lips, I would really expected something else from these lipglosses.
I just tried on Electric Fuschia at a private sale at the mac store. It is so pretty! It kinda looks more like a dazzleglass than a lipglass though... But it is a great color to have! Oh, and I also loved Cha Cha on me! :)
Christine, I have a question..is Electric Fushcia somewhat similar or a dupe of HK's Fast Friends?? Thanks
How dark is Cha Cha, I find on my complexion even PRRR and Ensign way too dark on me... it looks very pale and sheer like Icescape was on your lips? LOVING Culture Clash! EMBER ROSE!
I love Hush, Hush Rose, Electric Fuchsia and Cha Cha, and possibly Kumquat. In fact I pretty much want everything from Forecast 1 (minus nail laquer and some of the eyeshadows).
Some of these swatch on lips like the lipgelee..especially the bright purple and pink. What do you think? Might be because of all the glitter.
sadly, not liking any of the Spring glosses. The only product i'll be getting is the Nanogold e/s. Thanks Christine.
lol, I have sooooooooooooo much MAC that there hasn't been anything that's caught my eye in a very long time and now when it does, of course, I don't really have the money to blow :(
I can't see the last two pictures but I kinda want them all, LOL! I really love Kumquat & Ember Glow!
