Unlike most powders that are pressed into traditional metal pans, Mineralize Skinfinish is moulded onto small round terracotta tiles and carefully baked for 24 hours, allowing for an exceptionally sheer and light application. The Natural portion of the duo will provide a dimensional yet natural matte-finish, while the shimmer portion will add buffed-up highlights to cheeks and brows, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face. This unique powder contains vitamin A and E derivatives, which help buffer the skin from environmental aggression and jojoba oil, which calms and soothes the skin. This product can be used on face or body and is appropriate for all skin types. Dermatologist- and ophthalmologist-tested. Use with the 189 Face Brush. With its rounded paddle and chiselled edges, it’s perfect for precise blending and sculpting.

  1. Do you know if these have SPF at all? The only way I would consider leaving my dear Bare Minerals would be if this had SPF.

    • As far as I know, they don’t! If they’re mineral-based, there may be some SPF protection in the ingredients list (but I don’t have it).

I’m looking forward to seeing the 189 brush in person – sounds like a brush I’d get a lot of use from!

  3. Tekoa

These are all too dark for me! *lol*

  4. Sandy

I wonder which one I should pick…i’m an NC 35 and have never triend MSFN’s before.

  5. I want the light one, Christine remind me is one side matte and the other side shimmer?

The difference between the US and Canadian dollar is ridiculous. It really makes me mad to see how much more we have to pay especially when they are so close.

That being said, I can’t wait to get one of these. I am going to be on holidays when this comes to my store so the girls there were super nice and let me see all the new stuff before they put it out and pick out what I wanted and they would hold it for me. It was great.

COMPLETELY agree with this comment. it makes me think twice about buying things(im in canada) and instead i just wait til i can cross the border or get a friend to pick it up for me in the states.

i know you guys think that that difference is huge, but it is even worse here in Australia. A mac lipstick is US$14 and CA$16.50 but here ONE lipstick is AU$35! even though the exchange rate is almost equal…..mac seriously needs to update their prices, i’m sure its turning away some customers.

I think it’s all about the shipping costs. I don’t really know but I bet in the Europe MAC costs more than in US. I’ve never really been to a MAC store (no stores in my country!) but I’m really interested in these cosmetics. I’m looking forward to visit a store while in Germany or Estonia.

I am not so sure about it being the shipping costs as if you notice, the MAC products in North America are all made in Toronto Ontario Canada and if that theory were true, then Canada would be paying cheaper than the US would for the exact same product. I think the price difference is crazy too and I waited until I went on vacation in Seattle to pick up all my brushes and skin care stuff from MAC there as there was a huge difference in pricing.

    • I have no idea why prices are what they are, unfortunately!

  7. Can’t freaking wait to get that brush!!

Oh Sanita fly to Vienna/Austria! – here you have the nicest MA’s and we can buy this products since last Tuesday – like the Electroflash products ….

this looks mighty interesting to me, hope it works well on my skin. =)

  11. I saw these today and are so pretty! The Medium was perfect for me and my sister (NC25 and NW25) but I actually passed on these and got the green electroflash and Dainty Blush instead! Maybe next time…

i got the light medium cos im a nice shade of ghost, and its just not being what i want it to be. *sigh* and to think this was part of my last big mac splurge for a while. what a waste!
