MAC Magic, Mirth, & Mischief Review: Mineralize Blushes

I think fans of MAC mineralize blushes will enjoy the two newest, limited edition additions released with the holiday color collection. I still prefer pressed powder blushes myself, but these two are exceptionally lovely.

  • Conjure Up is a dirty plummy-berry with very subtle shimmer (hardly any at all!) and intense color. Initially, it reminded me of a deeper Stark Naked blush (which I love).
  • Superdupernatural is a rusty coral with a subtle sheen. It’s also rich in color and easy to layer for increased intensity.

I’d put both on my must-have list, though Conjure Up would edge out Superdupernatural if I could only choose one. I think that both are flattering for different skin tones, but of course, Superdupernatural may be harder for cooler skintones to pull off. I don’t think cool-toned faces should stay away from it, though, because it doesn’t run very warm.

  • Product: 27/30
  • Value: 8/10
  • Ease of Use: 4/5
  • Packaging: 4/5

  11. Catherine says:

Oh wow, they’re both really pretty. I may pick up Conjure Up because it looks like it’d make a gorgeous just come in from the cold kind of look. Could you compare Super Duper Natural to Nuance? They look pretty similar but you mentioned that this one isn’t very warm?

  12. superdupernatural! Loves it!

  13. Megan says:

Yes not alot of glitter I can dig that! I’m leaning towards Conjure Up but I’ll look at Superdupernatural, love that name, cause I have yet to find a peach blush that will show up the way I want it to.

  14. samaya says:

i have soo many similar looking blushes…anyways,,,,
btw, can u pls tell if the texture of these blushes are smooth like sonic chic or gritty like some recently released mineralize cheek products…

  15. Lia says:

i am nw 50…i think i want to try conjure up.

  23. DW says:

I surprised myself with these today because I was not impressed. The Conjure Up is a deeper gentle in my opinion, and superdupernatural is close to others like nuance and dainty.

  24. Maggie says:

How does Superdupernatural compare to Nars Luster? I’m debating between which to get. Thanks!

  25. Skyler says:

Christine, do you feel Superdupernatural has any orange in it when applied? It definitely looks it has more pink undertones in the pot but applied, it looks quite orange. What do you think after trying it in person? :)

    • Christine says:

It does have some. I don’t think it’s super orange, but it does have some orange-ness to it! I think it goes on a little more orange on me since I am warmer toned overall!

  26. Montrese says:

I LOVE Superdupernatural! I will be purchasing! lol

  27. Heather says:

These are so pretty I want both of them!!!!

  28. Faheema says:

Both so pretty but I’m not sure if they would suit my skin colour :(

  29. kpenn says:

I picked up Conjure Up this afternoon, but I’m sad that I had to leave Superdupernatural behind! :( Oh well, I’m picking up the two face kits from the store on Monday, and I can’t have it all!

  30. Aeman says:

I just bought both of them. I was planning to only buy Conjure Up, but when I swatched Superdupernatural, it was too beautiful to resist too. Thanks Christine!

  31. Meghann says:

I got Conjure Up, great color. I may go back for superdupernatural but it really didn’t wow me enough when I tried it on.

  32. Erin says:

  36. Vivi says:

Hey christine, what do you think is a powder blush thats kind of similar to conjure up?
    <3

  37. Dani C says:

I was looking at these today, I loved both of them. Wow!
I tend to think I suit more peachier toned blushes best though so may have to get superdupernatural, great names as well.

Just off to check out your reviews for the two palettes I liked Devil may dare and smoke and mirrors. Do you think the palettes are worth it? also i’m wary cos my eyes are really sensitive to the lustre type shadows, what do you think?

  38. Janette says:

Im debating wheather to get them i want them so bad!
i have gleeful and gentle is conjure up worth getting?
