MAC Lucky In Love Pigment Review, Photos, Swatches (Archie’s Girls)

MAC Lucky In Love Pigment
MAC Lucky In Love Pigment ($23.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “shimmering light blue green” with a frost finish. It’s a subdued aqua-green with a moderate frost finish and subtle metallic sheen. Tom Ford Emerald Lust #2 is greener and darker. Giorgio Armani Ecailles Black Pearl #3 is darker. MAC Sweet & Sour is darker and greener–plus it has a gold shimmer/sheen. Make Up For Ever #302 is darker.
It’s nowhere near as frosted/metallic as Cheers My Dear, so it is more wearable across skin types, since it won’t emphasize any texture of the natural lid like a super frost can. The texture is nice; soft, finely-milled, and it applied smoothly on the skin. The real problem with this shade was it wasn’t as pigmented as the other shades–it was somewhat sheer dry and then still a bit sheer even when applied wet/damp. I typically get around eight hours of wear with MAC’s pigments and only see some slight fading (no primer).

| In many ways, I expected that this shade was going to be the better of the four, but the lack of color payoff was disappointing! | |

It looks alot like the discontinued UD Aquarius…
I was thinking the same! I have it so this is a skip for me
The color looks similar to shimmermint to me. Do you agree?
I remember Shimmermint being lighter and greener.
The shades remind me of the beautiful seas… very summerish shade..
Hey Christine, how do you think this shade compares to the similar shade of Crushed Metallic Pigment released with Surf, Baby?
Thanks!
Soo different when you swatch them – http://www.temptalia.com/mac-surf-the-ocean-crushed-metallic-pigment-stack-review-photos-swatches
i had high hopes for this one. it’s pretty but i do wish it was a little more pigmented.
How does Lucky in Love compare to Mutiny, Gilded Green and Spiritualize pigments?
Mutiny is much bluer, Gilded Green is greener, Spiritualize is darker, greener.
Everyone seems to be leaving it but I think it looks very cute…I almost got this one too. Maybe I will now…wish I saw how it looked on you!
This looks like Innocent Turquoise L’Oreal Infallible from the Miss Candy Collection but Innnocent Turquoise pigmentation is very good
This reminds me of the green tone in surf the ocean pigment stack they didn’t name the shade. I wonder how similar they are??
It looks similar in the jar, but swatched, the Surf the Ocean shade is way, way different – http://www.temptalia.com/mac-surf-the-ocean-crushed-metallic-pigment-stack-review-photos-swatches
Very beautiful, it reminds me of clear turquoise water in a tropical island
.
i bought this and i just dont know how to wear it without being soo overpowering
I’ve been pairing it with just a blending color on the crease (like UD’s Tease or MAC Soft Brown) and I’ve found it looks lovely paired with Satin Taupe!
