The lipsticks are in white packaging with the MAC for Liberty flowers and bird printed on the tube itself. There are four shades released, three of which are new, and one of which is PRO–Peachstock.
Lipsticks ($14.00 U.S. / $16.50 CDN)
- Petals & Peacocks is a creamy, brightened up fuchsia pink with an amplified finish. It’s like a mix of Show Orchid and Girl About Town–like the color of Show Orchid, but the texture and look of Girl About Town. It’s fun and playful, but you may have a hot pink in a similar shade.
- Ever Hip is a peachy-orange with a glossy sheen in a cremesheen finish. On my lips, it translates a bit more coral-pink because of the pink hue of my natural lip color. It’s not quite as opaque as I’d like once it gets on my lips, but it’s a nice shade of coral.
- Blooming Lovely is a subdued mauve-y lilac with a glossy sheen in an amplified finish. This an interesting color, because I’m not sure it’s one I could pull off by its lonesome. I’d definitely have to pair it with a gloss to brighten it up and make it more wearable for me. It’s like a lighter, more lilac version of Up the Amp, but it’s a way darker and less blue-based Saint Germain/Snob.
- Peachstock is a peachy-nude with a very creamy finish and opaque result. Reminded me of Freckletone a bit, but better coverage and less orange.

Wow, two of these look totally unwearable…by me anyway. I happen to love the packaging, so I hope that the the one that is missing here, Peachstock I think, is more wearable. I love enough of the entire collection however that I will be enjoying enough of the packaging without these lipsticks:) The blush, several eyeshadows, the Beauty powder…a lip glass.
What lipstick color will look good on medium to tan asian skintones ? I’m thinking about Ever Hip . . . But , i love your advices ! Lol . XD

It’s grayer, muted in a way – more mauve than lilac.

I think Ever Hip looks great on you. I’m a sucker for corals.
It’s not like Costa Chic or Lollipop Loving, IMO! Costa Chic is redder, Lollipop Loving is way frostier and has the green sheen. Shy Girl isn’t quite so orange – pinker I’d say…

how does petals & peacocks compare to gladiola from the Dame Edna???? I know that gladiola is a Matte finish but if i have gladiola & i have show orchid do you think i need Petals & Peacocks?

In your opinion, do you like lavender whip or blooming lovely better in terms of a lilac/purple lipstick and wearability? I already own lavender whip so i am trying to decide if i should get blooming lovely or not? Do you think its a must have?? I am definetly getting Ever hip though!! luv peachy corals!
I like Lavender Whip a bit more for its lightness. I think you could mute it down to make it more like Blooming Lovely. If you LOVE purple lipsticks, probably should grab it, but if you rarely wear Lavender Whip, then skip!
What would you compare “ever hip” to from the MAC permanent collection?
It looks gorgeous on you but I dont have time to go to the MAC counter to see if it looks nice on me or not : ( The nearest MAC 3 hrs away .

I took a trip to mac today, sad to say this collection overall was not that impressive ladies. The lipglasses are ok. Everything else can be duped. Mac gotta step up there game!!! Nice packaging though!

liking ever hip and peachstock!
I knew I would LIKE “Petals and Peacocks” and “Blooming Lovely” but I LOOOOVE these!!! “Ever Hip” does take a little work – But it goes nicely over the orange lipliner that came out… Last week? It’s not nearly as opaque or creamy as the other two though (I LOOOOVE my Amplified Lipsticks).
Question for you though Christine – Have you tried, at all, the Lime Crime Lipsticks? I am having a tough time deciding if I should get a backup of these two amazing lipsticks… But Lime Crime has some similar colors – I just haven’t bought them yet. AAAH! Dilema!
OK, so I’ve had all of the Lime Crime lipsticks since they debuted. Then the ~drama~ happened, and I just haven’t decided what to do – whether to review or not, so I haven’t touched them (because if I review, I photograph them brand new, lol). Personally speaking, I would LOVE to see a review of the LimeCrime lipsticks from you – You’re reviews are intelligent and detailed with clear, large photos. Plus I always feel that, even if you end up raving about a product, you start off pretty unbiased, which is important to me as a reader. So… A+ for you there!
I honestly think that that MOST people don’t even know what the hell LimeCrime is, let alone know about ANY drama surrounding the company. Those who DO follow the drama are also the people who are most likely reading Temptalia though and I’d hate to have any of that drama hurt what you do. I would hope that people could separate the product that they reading about from any of the drama surrounding a company, but I can see why you have been a little stumped and haven’t reviewed them yet.
I’d still love to see your review on the lipsticks. If you do it, you can blame me all you want! My time is important to me, it’s the only thing I have to give that I can never take back – I spend it carefully and reserve VERY little of it for spinning circles of drama.
But if you think you’ll take heat from your readers for doing a review, I’d say skip it. It’s not worth it. I can’t BELIEVE I’m going to type this but: It’s just lipstick.

I wanted to like Ever Hip soooo bad because I want a coral lipstick, but when I tried it on it way a horrible bright coral on me… Looks much better on you.

I did a post on my blog with Lavender Whip on my top lip and Blooming Lovely on my bottom lip and you can not tell the difference. Maybe it’s the pigment of my lip but it looks exactly the same on swatches on my had as well.
Petals & Peacocks is sooooo Gorgeous and I love purple lips too so Blooming Lovely will be mine. I can’t wait for this collection to launch in the UK.

Yay! Peachstock is finally up! So I usually use Cherish or Brave New Bronze as my nude l/s… do you think Peachstock would be another good nude? Or is too peachy? My lips aren’t very pigmented, mind you & I’m about an NC42/43, if that helps at all.♥

I see that Ever Hip looks a little more coral by itself and a little more pinkish on your lips. Do you know of a more pigmented version of Ever Hip (regardless what brand)that’s something like that or that’s in between the coralness of the tube color and/or the pinkishness of the way it looks on your lips? Ravishing is too much on the orange side to me, like you’ve said. If anything, leaning more like to an opaque Perrenial High Style lipglass..
