I was at the MAC store the other day and one of the MAs put the studio sculpt on me. I really dislike it. Its really cakey and thick and set right into the lines on my face. It was just gross lol. Not a fan!
Is this at all comparable to the discontinued Studio Finish Matte Foundation in the same packaging? That had a "whipped" feel too.
I had to go to 3 MAC counters to get properly matched!! Make sure you ask an experienced MA not just a sales clerk to help you.
How do you figure out what skin type u are, i.e. NC15 NW45 or whatever? I'm an EXTREMELY pale redhead with dry skin.
My review on Studio Sculpt Foundation & Concealer thanks to temptalia, she got me super interested!!
I love my Studio Fix Fluid, but I'm curious about this. Thank goodness it comes in NW/NC 15. They keep discontinuing those shades. What's a pale Canadian girl to do, otherwise?
Does anyone know what MAC plans on replacing Select Tint with? Or are they just not doing a tinted moisturizer again?
It would be nice if the new things coming out on the 5th will be available at the HK unvailing party on the 3rd...I find it annoying to drive 40 min on the 3rd, only to have to go down two days later to see another new release :( That said, I am curious about this, its nice to see MAC doing NC and NW 15s...since not all their foundation colors come in NC/NW15....which is me.
The concealers look like a good grab and I should start using it since I never do but Studio Fix Fluid works fine just for me. Might get that foundation brush though.
how big is the prep and prime? i used to use the one in the blk container it didnt do too much im excited!! =D
I don't know if it's perm, but I want to say it will be. It's gel-based -- probably similar to Armani's Face Fabric.
I'm really interested in this collection! I love it when companies put more focus into excellent (hopefully) basic products and less on pumping out colour collection after colour collection!
if the foundation is really for dry skin, i'll pass. but gel concealers, hmmm, i might try that out. i don't really like the concealers from mac because the creams were too dry or the liquid ones were too sheer. i'm hoping the gel ones will be concentrated yet easy to apply.
The foundations were created for all skin types. The coverage is intended to give a flawless coverage without being heavy looking as Studio fix. The foundation is buildable from sheer to full.It makes the skin seem glowly verses dry.
Considering that the word "sculpt" is in the name of this collection, I'm surprised they haven't brought out the Shape and Sculpt powders again (or whatever they're called). I've been interested in those lately (after they came out last time, unfortunately), so it'd be nice if I didn't have to place a PRO order when I decide I want them.
I've heard that the foundation is best for dry, sensitive skin, so I will pass on that one. But a gel concealer sounds interesting!
bummer! I was kinda looking forwarding to trying this foundation. The concealer looks awesome though. Hopefully it'll work for all skin types.
