MAC COSMETICS | STYLISTICS COLLECTION

Stylistics Collection is a collection that shows that MAC can do couture if it wants to, and if last year’s was any indication, they know how to do it well.  This collection is due out November 29th, 2007 for US/Canada, later in December for international locations.

Air of Style Luxurious scent, 30ml vial in an hand-blown, Italian tear-shaped glass bottle with a stopper top.
Air of Style takes you on a sensual journey that begins with dark and succulent red dates and wild, red peonies that is heightened with an infusion of white pepper. The scent unfolds into a radiant bouquet of Tuberose, Orange Blossom and Jasmine, resplendent with the opulence of Ylang Ylang and Orris. The allure continues into the background of leather blended with rare, antique woods and Vetiver all juxtaposed against creamy sensations of Tonka beans and golden drops of Amber crystals leaving an enduring veil of warmth.

I try, lol!

I know some people are hating the packaging, but I like it so far. In general, I’ve found that most packaging ends up looking BETTER in person than in photos.

hi christine! the collection looks great!! just wondering.. what does the sheer pressed powder and mystery powders do? are they used to set foundation, or other reasons?

thank you! :)

The Sheerspark powders are probably highlighters/cream blushes in terms of usage. Mystery powders are like a lighter, finer milled pressed powder used to set foundation or for a light powder finish.

ohhh pretty!! But whats up with the powder colors being so dark? LAME!! Is the Model Chic actually lighter than it appears? And what is a yellow red? I am having a really hard time wrapping my brain around what a yellow tone red is going to look like. The perfume sounds amazing, too bad there wasnt a picture of the bottle :( I am a total sucker for perfume write ups…they always make each part of the scent sound so amazing…of course they never live up to the write up….but I for sure want to check it out. All four glosses look amazingly pretty.

The powders always seem darker in the pictures…which I hate since I have dark skin, and I always think the colors will work better for me than they actually do, lol. But yeah, yellow-red is more of an orangey red whereas blue red is more pink…HTH :)

It’s not sold as a set, Sophie, they’re all individually priced (and expensive) :( I believev it’s $32 in this collection.

I think they are SE. you can get the full size/ professional brushes from the regular line only. hope this helps!

What?! So it isnt a set? Its individual is it extra for those SE Brushes I really would not mind oaying extra if it was full size…they are soooo purdy! Curses to MAC for making so much purdiness in such a small amount of time! I predict my new years resolution..get out of MAC debt!

Comment by Christine
2007-10-30 10:50:22

They’re not SE really. Last year’s Couture brushes were full size, just with special packaging. If anything, you might call them SH, short handled.

They’re individually priced, nothing comes as a set in this collection :/

Hi Christine! Just curious - are the Sheersparks cream powders or just pressed powders? Do you know? Thanks for a great blog! :)

Love,
Linn
