Black ore is the best…totally neat and great smokey glimmer eye!
The Sunpower is pretty awesome as well.

They are long lasting as well, but I use paint or fluidliner under any pigment to help them stay.

    thankyou!!!

by the way, what are those solar bits???

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

LOL! I hope you get them in Argentina, too, hun! But then again, maybe your wallet will thank you if they don’t make it there!

No real clue, I included the official description of them… but they’re brand new!

  6. Tekoa

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Look! Up in the sky! Is it a blush? Is it an eyeshadow? No! Its super solar bits!

Depending on what it is, Black Ore has my interest.

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

LOL! I almost spit out my water, Tekoa!

Yeah, I’m not sure what it is, but it has me excited!

  7. Ariele

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

So what exactly are these Solar Bits? Sound like a pigment, but is it for your eyes? I can’t imagine wearing the black one anywhere else. The rest maybe as highlighters or for the eyes, very interesting!

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

I think they’re for your eyes, Ariele, but not sure!

  8. Julia

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Look at the model’s eyes! That is probably the Solar Bits. Just a different packaging for pigments? Different formula probably?

  9. T.

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Ahhh….so THAT’S what Solar Bits are!! Very interesting :) I can’t wait for this release! Scatterrays sounds lovely :)

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

Me neither! I’m excited about these the most.

  10. Tanya

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

very cool :) I really like the orange…so fun and different…makes me in the mood for summer…reminds me of being on vacation somewhere tropical and warm, with a drink that has one of those little umbrella in it. Deep sigh. Anyways I dont think a lot of the actual colors from this line will suit me but I sure am curious to see it and the Solar Bits sure sounds interesting…cant wait to hear more details.

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

I can’t wait for summer to get here already! At least we are getting a few sunny days here and there.

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

oh i want the bronzers but i don’t like using bronzers. if the refined golden is really just gold, i am getting it then. thanks for the photos again, have to start saving!!:)

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

LOL! Interesting, why do you want them then? :P

  12. Karen

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Could it be a product like Lorac Glam Rocks? That’s a much creamier, clumpier powder than your average pigment. They’re pretty hard to work with, but man! The payoff is amazing.

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

That’s what people keep saying! I hope they’re easier to work with if they’re alike!

  13. Jenny

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

  14. Nell

    Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Ohh, great! Christine, I love you!
I hope they move up the release date (as MAC so often does), since I´m in NYC from MAY 21 to 25. Oh please, please…

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

Well, Nell… if you are NYC, they will probably have the May 29th stuff out already anyway, since the NYC PRO store usually has stuff out a week early!

      • Nell

        Friday, April 4, 2008

Oh really? That would be so great!

  19. Sandy

    Thursday, April 3, 2008

    Hi Christine,

I’m at my lunch break now (4:00 pm, yeah I know!!) and I’m just all over your blog. I am gonna be so broke this summer. These solar bits look great. I wonder if they’re cheek products…but then there’s a black one, hummm…Either way I know for sure I would want to try them.

    • Christine

      Thursday, April 3, 2008

      Wow, late lunch for sure!

I think they’re for eyes, look like amazing liners!

    Friday, April 4, 2008

    Im lemming the bronzer powder!!
Love the orange package,,so nice to carry it around during summer time!
i guess i will go for refined golden, as it should go well on my NC20-25skin

Solar bits look so nice too,,but i dont really know how to use pigment lol
    stupid me!

    • Christine

      Friday, April 4, 2008

I agree that Refined Golden will work nicely for you!

  21. Andrea

    Thursday, April 10, 2008

My guess for the solar bits is a new highly pigmented paint pot. The packaging looks glass and are small like the paint pots but have the description more like a pigment. They are also the same price as a pigment. I agree that the model is probably wearing the Black Ore solar bits on her eyes. I’m curious to see what is in the pot, hopefully something will come to light soon.

  22. Crystal

    Thursday, April 10, 2008

$19.50USD is $23.50CDN, for everyone out there who’s Canadian..

For the same price as pigments they better last as long LOL

  23. Susanne

    Friday, April 18, 2008

Are there any pictures of the bronzing powder when the packaging is closed?

    • Christine

      Saturday, April 19, 2008

Hi Susanne, not that I know of!

  24. kat

    Saturday, April 19, 2008

    • Christine

      Monday, April 21, 2008

Haha, so very true… that’s me too!

  26. kukuroshu

    Wednesday, April 23, 2008

I have always loved the bronzer look when it comes out in photos but how do you get that look without looking darker? What would be a good shade?

    • Christine

      Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Hi Kukuroshu! You have to choose something that’s only a shade or two darker than your natural skintone… if you go too dark, that’s when it looks very dark. Also, shimmer may be helpful in reflecting light, too.

    Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Christine, any more word on what those Solar Bits actually are? Are they like Meteorites? That’s the speculation I’ve heard, but it doesn’t look like that to me, honestly.

    • Christine

      Wednesday, April 23, 2008

They’re actually color to go all over your face (!), and I guess they’re sheerer than they look. They’re similar to pigments, maybe gritter… not like Meteorites…

Anyway this warm colors are beautiful, I just called my fav MA at my counter at Nordstrom and she said that the Solar Bits are BEAUTIFUL! she said that they are like pigments but they go on more smooth and they are more pigmented and metallic, she said they have never had something like it! She also told me that the Volcanic Thermal mask is AMAZING, it leaves the skin sooooo soft. Keep saving girls, oh..call your counter because a lot of them (like mine) are launching the new stuff on the 21, YOU WANT TO GET YOUR HANDS ON THIS STUFF, TRUST ME!!!!!
