MAC Cosmetics – Neon2 Pigment Swatches

Date: Saturday, June 7th, 2008 Author:

Swatches courtesy of Jamie!  These make the Neon2 pigments look MUCH more wearable, don’t you think?  I ordered a set yesterday, so I’ll be sure to swatch them for you whenever they arrive (my bet is on Wednesday, unfortunately!).

Wait?! How could you have ordered a set? Not only are they not available on the PRO site but I called San Fransico PRO store yesterday and not only do they not have them in, they don’t have a release date either! How did you get them?

  2. lala says:

I like the two pinkie ones …lol but there tooo bright!! lol for me.

  3. Lily says:

ooh these are pretty! but if they’re not eye safe, i can’t justify buying a whole jar cuz i don’t know what i’d do with it! lol

  4. Trisha says:

Yeah! Now this is the kind of stuff I like! Super bright and cute. :) I may have to save up some money here so I can buy some…

  5. Kristina says:

Wow, these colors are so vibrant! I can’t wait to get my hands on a few of them…but I just don’t know what I’d use them for. Maybe for halloween!

  6. Ricci says:

pretty, not eye safe so why bother? blah MAC bring us some bright wearables

    • Christine says:

True, Ricci, it’s tough when they’re not eye safe :( I wish they could give reasons why they aren’t (e.g. – it’s the dye, red dyes tend to irritate eyes; because then you could patch-test).

  7. addicted_2color says:

yes, they now seem wearable and not so chalky. the top three are my faves.

  8. Ashley says:

they’re more wearable than I thought they’d be!! luv the pink in the corner!

  9. Ally says:

how come these pigments aren’t eye safe?

  10. Mary says:

Not eye safe…? That’s sad… but, then again, neither is Sharpie marker and I’ve used /that/ in the past. I suppose it doesn’t hurt you as long as you don’t get it IN your eye[?]

If that’s not the case, then I’m a sad girl indeed because these are just the things I like to use.

I could actually care less if they aren’t recommend for the eye area. Where does MAC expect us to use these besides our eyes?! You could maybe use the red and pink ones as cheek/lip colors but not the other ones for anything else really. I will be using them around my eyes. I have heard that Dark Soul is not recommend for the eye area either, but I still use it and have never had a problem.

  12. claudine says:

oh the pink ones are gorgeous
and i use glitters with mixing medium they arent eyesafe but i never had a problem with them….then i used naked pigment which isnt eyesafe either and my eyes were itching i think the best is to try them on your eyes and if you get a reaction stop using them
