You probably could get a good dupe by mixing Golden Olive and Kelly Green together :) Kelly Green is bright, but not as shimmery as Golder's Green, so adding a bit of Golden Olive will help tone the color down a touch while adding plenty of shimmer to it.

Hi Christine,

I was at MAC today and tried out Golder's green - but I find it very similiar to golden olive, which I already own (golder's just a bit brighter with less gold reflect)
I haven't tried golder's green on my eyelids, but is the effect on the lid very different (or quite similiar) to golden olive? - any chance I can mix golden olive and kelly green to get something close to golder's green? Thanks!

I'm so happy to hear it! I know a lot of people have to order online, and half the swatches on the MAC site aren't so hot. I figure this way people who don't have the opportunity to go see a collection can get some insight from my review.

Golds are really great on green eyes! I don't have any special color suggestions for you, though. I'm kind of a fan of the "anything you want to wear" theory, lol. My favorite emerald e/s would be Humid, and the pigment, of course, Emerald Green.

Hi,

I just came across this web-site and I have to say it's absolutely wonderful. YOu give very excellent instructions and advice on application, color and tips. And, it's an special bonus that you swatch colors and really give precise and honest opinions of the MAC collections. It's certainly saved me a trip and I've found what you've wrote is right on the money.

I did have a question. I have tinted my blonde hair to a more reddish blonde to medium red underneath and wonder if you have any suggestions for a great glamour eye look. I do have green eyes. I was thinking of going for golds, browns and emerald greens (I love to use lots of different shadows) for the eyes but thought I would ask your wise opinion or if you had any special color suggestions. And, what is your fav emerald e/s or pigment? Thank you! Angelique
