What is the name of the berry colored lipstick after Hang Up? I don’t think that is Shy Girl…?

Hang Up is the very last vertical swatch in the first row.

Shy girl is the very first horizontal swatch in the second row.

Ah, she fixed the names, yay! Thanks :) In that case, I like Hang Up and am now debating if I want to get it.

I just got Melt In Your Mouth, Partial to Pink, Petite Indulgence…they are so sheer but I love them. Also lipstick Cream up, texture is just so amazing

You picked some of the better glosses to get, Jelena ;)

None of them stand out to me. So I’m quite sure I’m getting nothing from this.

Really? A few of the lipsticks are nice, but they’re a little basic, I suppose!

Thanks for the swatches Christine. How are these compared to the HK lipglass? I’ve just pre-ordered for HK!! Can’t wait. But dunno if I should hurt my pocketbook for this release.

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

      No problem, Kristie!

These glosses don’t have shimmer really (I think maybe one has a little, tiny bit) so that makes them different from the Hello Kitty lipglasses. These also aren’t sticky, and they’re very creamy (the texture is what stands out about them). TBH, I’d just get one and probably leave it at that. :)

I picked up Cream Cup (I’m going back to get more!) It is the perfect shade of pale pink. I had been using Politely Pink, but I didn’t really care for it too much because of the Lustre finish. The consistency of the lip sticks are amazing. They really need to be seen in person to appreciate them!

It is really a great shade of pink. I’m glad you like it, too!

I grabbed Creme cup, Lavender Whip, Melt in Your Mouth and Petite Indulgence when I went to the HK party. I liked that the colors were more on the sheer side since I wanted softer colors for spring.

Nice! They didn’t have them for sale at the unveiling I went to, unfortunately!

I Lurve Crosswires. I got it with the Cremesheen Collection. This time I want Creme Cup and maybe Shy Girl and that’s prboably it.

      Friday, February 6, 2009

Crosswires is soo pretty. I don’t know why I haven’t worn it!

Thanks for the swatches! How would you say lickable compares to strayin, as far as color, texture and finish?

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

No problem! Strayin’ is lighter, not hot pink at all (more like a strong, medium pink), and it is also way creamier with very little shimmer-sheen, more like a glossy sheen.

I think Lavendar Whip will look like crap on me but I’m tempted by the unusual shade so I’m going to give it a try!

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

YAY! Definitely give it a shot, Cloudburst. And of course, let us know how it goes!

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

I’m so glad to hear it! I think everyone should give it a shot :D

I was really hoping for Lavender Whip to be a real purple, like in the promo shots.

My dreams of someday finding a true, pretty, opaque purple lipstick are once again dashed :(

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

It’s pretty purple, IMO, well – lilac. It’s not like straight on purple!

btw, is creme cup similar to creme d nude? i already have creme d nude and i love it!! just wondered if they are similar?

also, i have sparks can fly, what is the best lipglass to pair it with for kinds nude look?

    thanks!

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

No, I don’t think so. Creme d’ Nude is peachy nude, isn’t it? Creme Cup is pink.

      C-thru!

      • Wendy

        Friday, February 6, 2009

well, i shall give creme cup and lavender whip a try then! and will also try pairing c-thru with sparks. thanks christine! :)

I did want to try the l/g’s but HK is really appealing to me so I think I’d rather wait… plus 21$ for a gloss is extreme!

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

Yeah, $21 for a MAC gloss is crazy!

Does anyone know if the shy girl lippie compares in anyway to Marquise d’. Thanks :)

    • Christine

      Friday, February 6, 2009

It might compare a little bit! I don’t think they’re the same, just because Marquise d’ has a very different texture.

        Friday, February 6, 2009

Thanks so much Christine! I saw it swatched on your lips and really like it and since we have the same exact coloring, I know exactly how it’s gonna look :)

        • Christine

          Friday, February 6, 2009

No problem :) Haha, makes life easy for you, Liz!

I think I’m the only one excited about Spice Is Nice!!! I love oranges and there so much brown in it I’m sure it will show up on my NW45 skin.

I hope you like it in person, Jessie!
