Pretty!

Are the Color Form Powders meant to be blushes? Or highlighters?

And would you be able to give any hints as to the texture of the richmetal highlighters?

Christine

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Hey Maggie! I believe they are meant to be a combination product, so you could use everything together or just individual colors, so depending on the color of the four and your skin tone, it could be a blush or highlighter or even both!

The Richmetal highlighters have come out before with Couture and Stylistics, actually! They’re subtle, cream to powder products from what I remember. I didn’t love them, so we’ll see. I hope these are more pigmented.

I seriously hate MAC…for a high school student with no job. Grr, I need a job to save up for all the collections! xD

Oh god, that is a tough nut to crack!!

question -

I normally buy all my MAC items at the freestanding store because I get a Pro discount which I cant use at Nordies. That said, I am really digging a couple of the pigments from this collection. Is it worth it for me to pass up my discount and buy these pigments at Nordies? OR should I wait for these LE pigments to make their run in another collection that will be available at a Pro MAC store? It just seems like MAC is doing LE so often that these pigments might show up in another LE run that is not Nordies exclusive.

Hey Tanya! I told you this via email, but quick summary: Jardin Aires has come out multiple times, Steel Blue is PRO anyway. Only a couple pigments get repeated, and they’re usually highlighter kind of colors.

OMG those lipsticks look AWESOME!!! God I really need to do some depotting and pray that I get some of them for Back to MAC. This collection is going to make me go broke, AGAIN. The idea of one color on the outside and another on the inside sounds really cool. The powders and pigments are cool too!

Christine

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

LOL! I should do some depotting too!!

It kind of sounds like the Rushmetal lipsticks, which had the gold sheen on the outside, then regular color on the inside - though I hope this is less a coating as it is an actual outer edge!

Christine

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

I adore new pigments! But I have heard it’s going internationally!

bart

Saturday, April 26, 2008

Does anyone have any idea about possible international releases (with novel twist there was some confusion about the nordstrom exclusivity)?

And I’m really curious about the Richmetal highlighters … will they be MetalX like, or powdery, or just glittery….

Christine

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

I’ve heard murmurs that it will be going international! They’re like the Richmetal highlighters from Couture and Stylistics.

Ohh, nice! I can’t wait to check out the lipsticks!

Thalia

Saturday, April 26, 2008

Is it just me, or does it sound like the lipsticks have two separate colours in each tube? They’re all described with an ‘outer edge’ colour, followed by a sheer colour on the inside.

Christine

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Yep, I think that’s what they’re supposed to look like!

Me too, Pauline! They will definitely be on the Nordies site!

Stacey

Saturday, April 26, 2008

Christine

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Oh no :( It should be online, though, at least for sure on the Nordies site!

Val

Saturday, April 26, 2008

I’m drooling over the pigments as well. I’m eyeing the 5 basic sets, I want to try out the 224 and 242 brush. I wonder what the prices are for Canada. I gotta start saving up before they arrive at The Bay!

Christine

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

I’m allll about the pigments!! I think they’re like $56-59 Canadian!

Susanne

Wednesday, April 30, 2008

Have the powders a special packaging?

Christine

Thursday, May 1, 2008

They’re a new product, but not special packaging from what I can tell.

Susanne

Friday, May 2, 2008

Thanks Christine!

And can you say how the Colour Forms Powders compare to the MSFs?

Christine

Friday, May 2, 2008

Hey Susanne! I haven’t seen them, but they’re not baked so they’re still going to be quite different. From what I can tell and what I’ve heard, it’s basically a quad of powders to be used on eyes or cheeks.

Susanne

Sunday, May 4, 2008

Thanks Christine, also for the great pictures :)

Christine

Thursday, May 8, 2008

My pleasure, Susanne!

living in the uk can be a bloody pain at times.
i’m waiting for my pro card to arrive. are the eyeshadow pans the same price as the eyeshadow pots? that might be a retarded question :S heyho. also, how long dyou reckon it’ll take for my pro card to arrive? i’m so impatient.

Christine

Thursday, May 8, 2008

I’ve heard that when you see them take money out for your PRO card… you’ll get it soon after.

Pigments are a maybe, but that warm pallet is a must have! Thanks for the info!

Christine

Thursday, May 22, 2008

I’m totally intrigued by the lipsticks myself!

Aeyrah

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

Hey Christine! Do you know if these will be available for online purchase at Nordstom? I’m out of town for the launch and want these palettes badly!!

Christine

Thursday, May 29, 2008

I do believe they will be. Even if not, you can definitely call up your local Nordies (or any, probably) and do a charge-send (where they’ll ship it to you). I also think they’ll be taking pre-orders, so you can pre-pay, they set aside your goodies, and then you pick it up.

Aeyrah

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

One other thing, any approximate prices on all these products?

Christine

Thursday, May 29, 2008

Eye palettes will be $38, lip palettes will be $22.50, brush sets are $49.50, richmetal highlighters will be $16.50, and the powder will be $24.50.

Bianca

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

I love the idea of the lipsticks and the color formed powders. Also getting my hands on the jardin aires pigment is great since they didn’t bring heatherette to Mexico!!! grrr!! But they do bring the Nordstroms stuff, go figure!! And I know so because with the NN they brought the Soweaways quad. So, YAY!!! Now i have time to save money since they’ll probably release it here in august.

Christine

Thursday, May 29, 2008

Me too, Bianca! Can’t wait to try them both :)

How weird that Nordstrom’s exclusive comes your way, but not Heatherette.

Friday, May 30, 2008

Christine

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

So do the brushes come in that small case type thing? Or do they come in that plus the bag thing? I am confused by the way the pics look. Can you or someone else give more info on that? Thanks!

Christine

Monday, June 16, 2008

Hey Paula! Each brush set does come with a bag/holder of some sort.

Hey Christine,

Do you think the brush sets are worth it? Is the quality the same?

Christine

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

I think they’re worth it, especially if you don’t have the budget to lay money down on full size brushes. They’re also great if you travel a lot — they’re compact, but since they’re cheaper, you have less risk in carrying them.

The quality is a little lower, but I don’t find that it’s so low that they’re not worth it, IMO.
