I’m definitly excited about the quad the colors sound like they would work really well together. I also have never gotten around to getting Fix + so I think I might buy it when this comes out if its not too strong of a lavender scent

I talked to the MUA at the Mac store in Times Square and they said the only reason we couldn’t B2M for Tartan Tale was because of the limited number of lipsticks they had, but it wasn’t going to be that way for future LE collections.

Kinda boring beige… Except the Beauty Powders which are just called Special Reserve Hilight here because it’s a wine term…. Bet you your eye lash curler they’ll be blush on me. NW 15. They always are.
Been wearing Gel lippie for years! Wonderful, but needs lip erase under. Or, MAC, can we get a gold pencil please?
I MUST have this collection! And that’s saying a lot because I’m usually ho-hum about MAC collections! I am a tried and true neutral girl and on the fair side so these hues are complimentary for me. Love it!

Christine, would those colors (paints pots, highlight powders…)work on medium dark skin? I feel like this collection is more for paler skintones. Reading the descriptions, which ones would you recommend?

the highlight powders and the paint pots interest me a lot. maybe the lipsticks and the eyeshadows. we´ll see how much my purse will allow

I’ll be getting the grey Paint Pot, a back-up of Feline (maybe a couple) and that’s probably about it. I’ll also take a look at I Get No Kick eye kohl and *maybe* the highlight powders.
I love Fix+ but I’m not fussed about getting a scented one; I love Paint Pots but I have Bare Study, Fresco Rose and Rubenesque which are all quite light and frosted; I could maybe do with a pale gold lippy but as two are perm I could get them whenever; the quad looks…meh and I already have 2 of the shades; the lipgelees look pretty dupeable and unexciting, I already have the light Chromagraphic pencil and can get a backup from the Pro store whenever I need one; I’m not fussed about lip conditioners or the face cream, and although the platinum nail polish looks like a lovely shade I’m not a huge fan of MAC’s nail lacquers generally.
So hopefully a cheap collection for me – YAY!

SO EXCITED FOR THE LIP GELEES! I bought all 4 of the last ones and man oh man do they sparkle. LAST FOREVER and add so much bling to my lips……I get constantly complimented on them.
That quad looks nice, but I am not that into frosty shadows.

Ha, I said this on my Twitter but I am so glad I didn’t buy anything from A Tartan Tale because this collection is just…me. I love everything so, I may have to buy everything. Even the Fix+ Lavender; I’m out of Fix+ right now so I think I’ll just wait for this new one!
OMG YAY! MAC Feline! Have been waiting to get my hands on it for like, forever. ^^ The nail lacquers look awesome too. Oh god, my purse is going to need a fire extinguisher at this rate…
Paint pots. Oh yeah! Unfortunatly I have 3 of the 4 eyeshadows in the quad. Feline is totally in there too. MAC should make it perminant, but at least they realize its popular enough to keep repromoting it.
The tinted lip conditioner and the pale gold paint pot have my name all over them
*sigh of relief* I’m not really into pale colors lately. I’m glad there’s really nothing in this collection that appeals to me, because my makeup wishlist is way too long already!

Nothing pale goes over very well on me, so I’ll be skipping most of this collection. Maybe something will catch my eye once I see swatches or go see the colors in store.

the paint pots are pretty but theyre not a good base for me as they crease after 4-5 hours. If I put them over another shadow base like the primer potion would both things work just as well?
It could – if you have a paint pot and UDPP, you could try it and see

I noticed the model in the promo is wearing a very Lady Gaga-ish latex outfit, however…hopefully MAC will Photoshop out the model’s lack of a pasty?
that girl in the pic has a nipple showing lol. and i’m okay with that, but it’s a bit of a shock considering the society we live in.

I’m sure I’ll get at least 2 of the Lipgelees, since I love them so much. I might be interested in the Lavendar Lip Conditioner or Fix +. The beige Lip Conditioner seems too similar to Close for Comfort from the Warm & Cozy collection. The e/s quad looks really pretty, but I already have 2 out of the 4. It’s great that they’re bringing back Feline and the Chromagraphic pencils (they should just add them to the permanent collection). I’m hesitant to get any new Paint Pots because the ones I have are not creamy at all.
