The 214 brush is going to be permanent. The other two not so sure. The whole collection look svery nice. I am more impressed with this collection than Dame Edna thank God! My hopes are even higher with the cheapy kitty collection. LOL!
I love the brushes! I plan on gettin all of them, but are they permanent?! does any one know?! thanks.
Even though I'm brunette, I'm really interested in a lot of the things from the redhead collection, though henna eyeshadow also caught my eye.
It's a cute idea. As a Indian woman with jet black hair, I'm interested in how the brunette collection will look on me, however, I'm not going to limit myself on what to purchase. The colors all look pretty and when it comes to what each person buys, I think it all depends on your personal taste and what you think looks good on you. That said, Henna e/s is MINE. It really does look like the true color of Henna as we see it in India.
It's about skin tone, really, not hair. People with fair or light skin tone would look good with Blonde colors on. Those with light to medium skin or who could pull wearing corals would look great in Redhead colors. And those with medium to dark skin tone might prefer Brunette collection. Although it doesn't really matter, just get what you like.
Oh crap...I haven't bought any makeup in six months but after seeing this collection, sigh, MAC is going to eat my $$.
I think people are missing the point of the whole 'Blonde, Brunette, Redhead' thing. It's a saying and a generalization. I have extremely fair skin with light brown/auburn hair, I'm not represented either. You can't represent EVERY look. Don't take it so seriously. It's just one campaign.
what about black haired? why aren't asians and indians represented?...and the black girl in the picture is not classified as a brunette!
actually no it doesn't (according to the dictionary)...but it doesn't matter...we are used to barely being represented. :)
I do think that brunette is there to represent hair falling in the range of dark hair--be it brown or black. My hair is predominantly black, but I consider myself a brunette! I think the inclusion of the African-American woman who has mostly black hair (from what I can tell) also makes me think brunette isn't just brown. HTH!
THANK YOU CHRISTINE!!!! i am definitely getting the brushes. i wondered why MAC doesn't make a brush like the nars 15 and here it is the 214. i am saving up, i NEED all three. finally something to really look forward.
New brushes! Yays! Well, I hadn't seen there b4. =D New ones for my collection. I tell you, I have a thing with brushes and blushes...
Thanks Christine, I'm more excited about this collection than Hello Kitty. I'm loving these brushes!
Thanks for posting this! I'm so excited about this collection. Even though I'm a brunette, I'm in love with all of it.
I don't get the appeal of this collection.... I have red hair, but I dyed it dark brown.... and I would never chose the colours from this according to my hair but rather what I like...? I think the concept is lost upon me or something...
Ooh I like the Blonde MSF, although I am actually a brunette (but with light skin). Some of the lipsticks are pretty nice too.
MAC is really pumping out the collections this past year huh? I am interested to see what this one will be like, but have a felling I might only grab a shadow (unless there are great LG coming out too).
