I finally saw Jupiter Ascending recently. While I enjoyed the entire movie, the makeup in the wedding scene was what really took my breath away, and I knew I had to try recreating it!
Skin–foundation was a mix of the Maybelline Fit Me matte with Revlon’s Colorstay for dry skin and Revlon Skinlights in Bare Light and Pink Light. Under that is a litte bit of Nyx undereye corrector and Revlon Photoready concealer to spot conceal. Contour is Nyx’s blush in Taupe, with just a touch of Wet n Wild blush in Mellow wine dusted over the top to mimic the rosy undertone of the contour color in the movie. Cheek highlight is Colour Pop’s Smoke n Whistles.
Eyes–I used Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink for a base across the whole lid. I noticed there was a touch of gold shimmer near the lashline, so I used Urban Decay’s X on the bottom half of my top lid. For the upper lid, the crease, and just above the crease, I used Wet n Wild’s Mellow Wine blush, which also went under the lower lashline. The crease color was a matte red shadow from Sephora I’ve had for so long the name has rubbed off–I think it’s called Cherry on Top now. The browbone highlight is Nyx’s I Have a Headache. I used a little e.l.f. liquid liner, some white pencil from Wet n Wild in the waterline, and L’Oreal’s Miss Manga mascara.
The lips were actually two different colors–a matte brick red for the top lip, and a glossier deep fuchsia for the bottom one. Unfortunately I’d accidentally rubbed my lips together by the time I’d taken this photo! But the colors were Milani’s Confident on top and Wet n Wild’s Sugar Plum Fairy on bottom.
