Looks – Manish Arora Palette Eye with Going Bananas & Electric Eel

Posted in: Green, Teal, Yellow

Funny enough, I didn’t even grab or use my Manish palette, I just used the colors from my regular palettes, because I was too lazy to go and grab it from the coffee table, ha!

Happy Friday everyone!! :)

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Portion (base), Going Bananas eyeshadow (frosty yellow), Urban Decay Absinthe eyeshadow (cool green), Shimmermoss eyeshadow (teal), Electric Eel eyeshadow (blue), Urban Decay Electric 24/7 Liner (blue), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Springsheen blush (soft peachy pink)
  • Lips: Thrills lipstick (pink-coral), Tartlette lipglass (pink-coral)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Going Bananas = Bright Sunshine; Thrills = Bombshell; Tartlette = Lychee Luxe

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Urban Decay primer potion all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Going Banans eyeshadow using the 239. Apply UD Absinthe to the middle of the lid. Overlay Absinthe with Shimmermoss eyeshadow, and then darken the outer lid using Electric Eel and drag into crease using the 239. Sweep Going Bananas underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with UD Electric 24/7 Liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Springsheen blush using the 129. Apply Thrills lipstick to lips, and then top with Tartlette lipglass for color and shine.

    1st comment!! WOOHOO! :)~

I love that blush you’re wearing. Very pretty look.
I LOVE Absinthe! I’m wearing a similar look today, no yellow though. I’m so scared to try yellow. Golds have to be close enough.

Thanks, Dawn! :) Aww, I can do frosty yellows like Going Bananas – they have to be close to golds, too.

I think Thrills just came out a collection or two ago, and Tartlette came out forever ago. I don’t even remember the launch!

Are there any MAC dupes for Absinthe and Electric?

    • Christine

No dupes for Absinthe, and Electric is just bright blue. Electric Eel could work instead.

Hi Christine! I love your site and have been reading your archives. I especially love your tip about the mixing medium… Was just wondering if you’re still using that or you prefer Urban Decay Primer now.

      Hey Lee!

I don’t – it creases on me. It also tends to cause my eyes to itch, LOL.

hey thanks for the speedy reply but I just like to clarify, which one do you think is better again the primer or the mixing medium? thanks again!!!

Mixing medium, since the primer doesn’t do its job as well and it irritates my eyes.

The cool woody look brings out your eyes. I think this would be great on an Earth Day of going organic!

guess what, i went to local MAC store and asked for Manish Arora and they said they never had the collection coming (I’m in Canada) and maybe I should check back when Christmas collection comes. But it’s likely the Manish Arora won’t be arriving. oh well.
