Looks – Golds and Greens, Summer Is Here

Date: Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 Author:

I used True Chartreuse pigment on lid, Goldmine eyeshadow on inner lid, Juiced eyeshadow on middle of lid, Swimming eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Humid eyeshadow on outer crease lightly, Bitter eyeshadow above crease, Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow, Goldmine eyeshadow on lower lash line, and Graphblack techankohl on lower lash line. I wore Hipness blush on cheeks. I had Rozz Revival lipstick with Poetique lipglass on my lips.

That’s a really pretty look on you. By the way: How do you keep your skin so clear? It always looks nice in your tutorial pics.

I love the colors, what inspires you, how do you come up with such amazing creations?

  6. Shefali says:

Totally pretty, Christine! I think it would be cool if you told us in the future Looks features and Tutorials features where you wore the look (school, clubbing, dinner, lunch).

    • Christine says:

      Thanks, Shefali :)

I’d be happy to, but more often than not, I just do the look to share with readers rather than to go out, LOL. I’m basically at school or at home these days.

  12. Erin says:

Totally cute! The tank top is a nice touch. You can pull those yellows off, but with my bluegreenpurple undertones, I bet it would just look sick on me. I am GREEN with envy. :)

    • Christine says:

Thanks, Erin! I loveee that pale yellow for clothes, I was so addicted last year.

I think you could rock yellow, because I’ve seen it on ALL skin tones!

This is so beautiful! I absolutely love this look! I have a question though. How do you apply liquid liner to the bottom lash line? Whenever I try it’s either very faint or it gets into my eye and I have to blink a few times to get the black out of my eye.

    • Tina says:

Oops, I now know that area is called the lower waterline (I looked at your eye diagram :) )

    • Christine says:

      Hey Tina!

I do it very, very slowly and with a very fine point brush/liner brush. It does take some time and patience to get it down!

You might be using too much too quickly if you’re getting it into your eye!

  19. Sash says:

I seriously have to copy this look! I LOVE IT! Whenever we get some “Summer” here in Canuck (Canada) =(.

  20. Pearl says:

It look OK…but you have way too much make up on!!! You need to tone it down a bit…look at magazine covers and you will notice that they don’t exactly pile it on like you do!

  21. Pearl says:

Make sure you take off all of your makeup at night Christine, leaving makeup on your skin is really bad and it will sometimes cause breakouts and then you’ll put on more makeup and the cycle continues…Go easy!

  22. Kimchee says:

    Hi Christine!

I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of mascara you’re using and if it clumps at all. I’ve been using the L’Oreal voluminous in carbon black and it clumps like crazy! Trying to search for a better one, help!!

    • Christine says:

I currently use MAC’s Plushlash in Plushblack, and I don’t find it clumps very much at all… when it gets older/drier, it may happen but not too much.

  23. Erin says:

I just wanted to say thank you for this look! Its soooooo pretty! You gave me a great idea!!! You are very inspiring.

Despite what others say *hisses teeth*, you apply makeup very nicely and it’s not “too much”!
