I wanted to try a look using Bobbi Brown’s Nude Lip & Eye Palette! Review to come!

I used MAC Soft Ochre paint pot all over lid to brow, Naked eyeshadow on inner lid, Nude shimmer Wash eyeshadow on middle of lid, Buff Shimmer Wash eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Bare eyeshadow above crease, Naked eyeshadow on brow, and MAC Graphblack technakhol on lower lash line. I wore MAC Margin blush on cheeks. I had Cocoa lip color on my lips with Naked glitter lip gloss on my lips.

I love this NUDE look. Great for everyday. How did you like it compared to the N collection?
Friday, February 22, 2008
Thanks, Vy! I liked N better, to be honest, I felt like this palette was sooo not up my alley for the shadows. They felt the same, even though there were four.

so very neutral but i like it! Its soft and pretty nice everyday, worksafe look.
Friday, February 22, 2008
Thanks, Kris! Yeah, this is DEFINITELY work safe!

You look pretty, but the product didn’t WOW me. I’m just not an invisible-neutral gall.
Friday, February 22, 2008
Hey Tekoa! I’m not impressed by the palette actually. The lip colors were fine, but the shadows? I don’t know what they were thinking.

I love it so much! It is great that you review BB, which is my second obsession besides mac. I own most of her palettes from the past four years or so. Seems I have to have this one too!
Friday, February 22, 2008
Thanks, Nell :) I’m glad you liked the look! Good to hear we have some BB fans here!

im loving that naked glitter gloss. I kind of hate the brushes though…what do you think is a MAC dupe?
Friday, February 22, 2008
I was okay with the brush personally! It took a little getting used to, but it was okay. I can’t think of a dupe really – maybe one of the lustreglass… Opal?

omg this looks so pretty on you cause you’re such a natural beauty…wow…O_O I love it =]

LOL, Thalia! Uh oh!
Thursday, February 21, 2008
Very nice look! Even though it is nearly bare – it still draws attention to your eyes. You look so pretty :D
Friday, February 22, 2008
Thanks! Yes, it’s very neutral, definitely NUDE.

Is this available now? I couldn’t find it on the Bobbi Brown website. Beautiful look!
Friday, February 22, 2008
March 1st, I believe. I think you can pre-order it in store, though!
Thursday, February 21, 2008
Gorgeous, Christine! I really love the lip color. And how great was it that you used so many different colors for your eyes and it looks soo natural!
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this vs. N as well :)
Friday, February 22, 2008
Thanks Lilan! I don’t know if it was great, LOL. I was a bit ticked that I couldn’t get more color variance! I liked N better, because I could vary things up more.
Thursday, February 21, 2008
absolutely beautiful!! you made me search on eBay for this palette, I think I’m gonna buy it when I get my next pay :))

Thanks, hun! Rich Flesh eyeshadow on lid, Remotely Gray in crease, that’s probably all you need.
Thursday, February 21, 2008
I’m most certainly in the minority here but I really did not like the eyeshadow. It looks like wearing none. The lipgloss looks amazing though.
Friday, February 22, 2008
I think that’s the point of the palette, since it’s called Nude, lol!
Thursday, February 21, 2008

Ooooo! I just ordered the palette last weekend and it’s showing up tomorrow. Can’t wait to play with it! Love your neutral looks alot!

That’s great, Marie! Tell me how you like it!

Very pretty!
I haven’t used BB products recently – I love the gel liners a lot but tend to overlook lip colors and eye shadows. The last palette I got was a beauty – Plum metallics – three fab shades.
Saturday, February 23, 2008
Thanks! I have the green metallics one, though I’ve yet to play, lol. I agree that the metallic palettes were gorgeous!

I LOVE this look on you; I think it’s absolutely gorgeous. You look so fresh and beautiful! After ordering the palette, I happened across your photos and am even more glad that I decided to spring for it. I’ve never spent this much on one palette before and this will be my first experience using BB.

Glad you liked the look, Kate! I hope you enjoy the palette :) Let me know what you think of it!

Hi Christine,
Well, I got my BB Nude palette yesterday and absolutely love it! I also got the Naked Glitter Gloss to go over it, because that shade looked like it was closest to the lip colors in the palette. I love the brushes too and it’s the first lip brush I have in a palette to have a cap, which is nice.
Among several samples, they also threw in a zippered mini m/u case. I was very impressed with BB, but have to admit I love the vanilla scent in MAC lipsticks better.

I’m so glad you like the palette, Kate!! Thank you for returning to tell me about it, too :)
That’s awesome that they threw in a mini makeup case, very sweet deal! I do agree that MAC’s vanilla scent is a nice detail that I like about them.

hi christine
its like a year after you’ve posted this but i was wondering if you could suggest mac dupes for the eyeshadow colours you used from the bb palette? i had a look on the bb website and some of the palette and colours don’t seem available anymore. (i guess the palette was LE? the shadow colours i couldn’t find might just be not available in the uk)
thanks!
btw, i know you said you weren’t a big fan of the shadows, but they are really very flattering on you!

Hey Aradhana,
A reader suggested these, and I think they’re great dupes:
first=espresso
second= girlie
third= naked lunch
fourth= shroom
fifth= malt
sixth= vapour
seventh= hush or jest

hi christine
thanks for the reply. i take it those are the new shimmering nudes eye shadow palette released not too long ago?…i actually meant the lip & eye nude palette from feb or something of last year. :)
…but, since i’ve been debating getting the shimmering nudes palette as well, the dupes you’ve given me is definitely not effort wasted!
i keep telling myself i probably have a million colours like them, but according to your list I only have two of them!…which brings me to my other question–when you said ‘what were they thinking’ with regards to the eyeshadows, was it the product itself or the lack of colour variation you were lamenting? my eyeshadows are almost exclusively mac and i was considering venturing into the bobbi brown domain…
Sunday, January 25, 2009
Ohh, sorry about that!
You could substitute Ricepaper and Coquette for this look, actually :)
Lack of variation for me. I just don’t see the point in 6 colors that are sooo close together in the SAME palette. I understand repeats over time, just not at the same time!
