About this Look
I just wanted to share with you an everyday look I did with all Catrice products.
I was so impressed with Catrice's Nude Illusion in 010 Nude Ivory makeup (liquid foundation) I just did a simple, everyday look to show what an incredible finish it has. I am 51 yrs old & have somewhat nice skin. My skin is combo with an oily nose and parched cheeks and temples. I do have a lingering mask of pregnancy on my cheeks that this foundation covered beautifully. I also have a lot of fine lines around my eyes. Anyway this foundation does require a primer so I used Palladio's Herbal Foundation primer (nothing fancy). I applied the foundation with my fingers and then did some light buffing with a Real Techniques buffing brush. I set the foundation on my nose, forehead, and chin with Catrice's Nude Illusion Transparent Matt powder. I used Catrice's Liquid Camouflage Concealer on my undereye area & blended it with my fingers. I used Catrice's Blush Artist Shading palette in O20 Corall I Need for my cheeks and the creases of my eyes. I used Benefit's High Brow glow pencil in the inner corners of my eyes and on my brow bones. My eyes are lined with Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color Smoky Eyes Pencil in the shade Gunmetal. I finished the look with Catrice's Glamour Doll Volume mascara and the craptastic Maybelline's Spiced Up! BabyLips in Berry Sorbet.
The finish on this foundation is a true soft focus, luminous matte. It lasted for about 7 hours before it began breaking down on my nose (my typical problem area). That's just me in the afternoon sun with her Samsung phone. No fancy diva lights, beauty bowls, selfie rings, or fancy lighting. I am just amazed at the quality of this foudation, I think I paid $10 for the 30ml bottle! Dear Armani, THIS is what luminous silk should look like on the skin. The only foundation I have in my arsenal that rivals this is my divinely sublime and $$$'s Cle de Peau! The downside: according to the Catrice website this product has been discontinued. WOMP WOMP.
