Sugarsweet Look! :)
I actually really liked how this turned out — it’s been a minute since I’ve been super satisfied with how a makeup look has come out, and I’m pretty pleased with this one! I didn’t think it would work when I started, but it definitely came together. Even Perfect Topping gave me some color! Shocker! I recommend using the 165 brush (or a dense brush) to give you concentrated color for those who struggle to get anything except shimmer from MSFs.
You will need the following…
- Eyes: Cakeshop shadestick (gray-green), Aquavert eyeshadow (light green-teal), Sugarshot eyeshadow (frosty white), Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow (fuchsia-purple), Lemon Chiffon shadestick (white-gold), Femme-fi eyeshadow (soft neutral highlighter), Feline kohl power (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
- Cheeks: Perfect Topping mineralize skinfinish (pale pink)
- Lips: Saint Germain lipstick (cool pink with purple undertones), Tasty tricolour lipglass (sheer pink)
- Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Cakeshop = Delft (leans tealer/bluer); Aquavert = Juxt (leans yellower); Sugarshot = Phloof!; Lemon Chiffon = Baselight; Femme-fi = Shroom; Feline = Graphblack; Perfect Topping = Pink Freeze; Saint Germain = Pink Nouveau; Tasty = Palatial
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Cakeshop shadestick all over the lid as the base. On the inner lid, apply Aquavert eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Sugarshot eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken the outer lid using Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow using the 239. Darken crease with Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow using the 226. Apply Lemon Chiffon shadestick along brow bone to create a base. Sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Apply Cakeshop shadestick as liner on lower lashes. Using the 219, apply Aquavert eyeshadow over the shadestick on the lower lash line. Finish with Feline khol power on lower waterline, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Perfect Topping using the 165. Apply Saint Germain lipstick to lips, and then top with Tasty tricolour lipglass for color and shine.

This is gorgeous Christine! It looks absolutely stunning on you. I HATE St. Germain…(as an NC42 I should, lol) but with that lipglass it looks very pretty! This is one of the prettiest looks I’ve seen from you in a while…and that’s saying A LOT, because you’re always awesome!
Friday, March 20, 2009
Thank you, Letitia! It works when I wear it lightly or with a gloss on top :) Otherwise it is a bit scary!

I love the look :)
I wore Aquavert today too! I put it on the lid and then put Fyrinnae’s Darling Misfit in the crease (which is a magenta pink with aqua shimmer).

Thanks, Phyrra! :) I can tell you are a fan of Fyrinnae!
Friday, March 20, 2009
Very very nice and breezy/springy!
After buying Sugarsweet stuff yesterday, I too HAD TO do a spring look!
I used Red Velvet as a base. Then, put Stars & Rockets and Parfait Amour in outer corner, and Dear Cupcake in inner corner. Used Shore Leave as a highlighter. Used green eyeliner on upper lid/lash line covered with the HK pink glitter. For lower line used a pale blue and covered with Aquavert e/s & Newly Minted e/s. Used UD Electric Blue mascara. HK pink blush and Bubbles (which I LOVE!!!) on lips covered with Snowscene from Chill collection. Got tons of compliments on look.
Friday, March 20, 2009
Thanks, girl :)
I’m gonna use Red Velvet next, I think! I am curious to see how that works as a base.
Sounds like your look was a huge hit! I wish I could see pics!
Friday, March 20, 2009
OOps! Meant to say Newly Minted on waterline.
Friday, March 20, 2009
ohh very spring look! love how the colour of aquavert! just a question though, do you aquavert will turn out like that if you hadn’t used cakeshop?
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Charlie! :) It would look similar if you use a good base, though Cakeshop makes it a little greener.
Friday, March 20, 2009

Your eyes POP! and really work that Saint Germain lippie to be more wearable :)
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, girl!! :) I am happy I can make Saint Germain *work*!
Friday, March 20, 2009
I was totally on the fence with the Saint Germain, but I think I’m definitely gonna pick it up! It’s so fresh and pretty. I’m also definitely picking up the Aquavert, it’s so spring-y!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
It’s really more wearable than I think the general consensus says :) You don’t *have* to wear it super opaque or by itself, y’know?
Aquavert is a must-have!
Friday, March 20, 2009
I like it because it is Easter colors. (From my 7 year old daughter!)
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Mackenzie and daughter :D
Friday, March 20, 2009
Beautiful work Christine. I love the spring/easter vibe it gives. I wasn’t loving Aquavert at first but when i see it like this, my mind totally changes. Same w/ perfect topping MSF. You got great color out of it.

Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Rasilla :D
Friday, March 20, 2009
Great look, I’m definitely going to try it out.
I was wondering if you think an NW30 could get away with using Perfect Topping as a blush? I hadn’t even considered buying it until I saw you wear it–it’s very pretty! I went with a similar look myself today, and can’t help but think that would really ‘top’ it off. I had Cakeshop on the lid, Red Velvet in the crease, Aquavert over Cakeshop on the lid and lining the bottom lashes, Stars n’ Rockets over Red Velvet blended with Dear Cupcake up into the brow where I highlighted with Sugarshot (which I wore in the inner corners as well). I wore St Germain and Just Dessert on my lips (your original swatch made me fall in love with that lipstick). Definitely a nice look for spring.
Also want to thank you for all the information you have provided about the collection, it’s helped me a lot!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Hi Miranda,
I think Perfect Topping is more suitable for NW, actually. I’m about NC30, and I see some color, so I think you should, too :)
Great look you came up with!
Thanks!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
That’s beautiful!
I really didn’t think those 2 colours would look good together, but they really do :)
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Elien! :)

Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Elle! I hope it arrives soon for ya!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Wow, I wouldn’t have thought to use these two together. Another great look. Saint Germain doesn’t look so bright in this look.
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Lisa :D Yeah, if you wear Saint Germain really lightly it won’t look so bright!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Ah, the MSF looks so pretty! I think this is the MSF I´ve been waiting for…
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Nell! I was surprised by the MSF!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
I love this look! I really like how the lips turned out too! I might have to go get that gloss to go with Saint Germain! :)
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Andrea! :D
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Those shadows really make your eyes pop! And that MSF looks gorgeous! How would it look on someone with really fair skin? Great look!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Thanks, Meike! :)
I think it would look better on someone with fair skin!
Saturday, March 21, 2009
Is aquavert comparable to the green in the precious pearl palette? I keep going back and forth on aquavert.
Monday, March 23, 2009
I’d say this is lighter and maybe a bit more teal.
Saturday, March 21, 2009
This is so pretty and springy! Love it!
Monday, March 23, 2009
Thanks, Sasha! :)
Saturday, March 21, 2009
This looks really good on you! IMHO I think it suits your eye shape better when you do your makeup like this, without blending the colour up so high! Great look =)
Monday, March 23, 2009
Thanks, Linda!
Saturday, March 21, 2009

I love the green on you, but the whole look is much too cool-toned for your skin. But you still look pretty, bc you always do. I particularly like the lips.
Monday, March 23, 2009
Really? I guess I didn’t see that! :(
Thanks, Kella!
