Red Flame/Orange Flicker Pro Longwear Lustre Lip Colour is beyond gorgeous. BEYOND! This is such a rich, vibrant red. I honestly didn’t think it would be a color I could pull off, but it’s no more bold than other popular reds like Russian Red. Finally, a red PLW that I can wear!

That color is GORGEOUS! Have you noticed any drying or flaking with these? That is my pet peeve when it comes to longwear lipsticks and glosses.

It’s probably not an everyday color, but it’s definitely a pretty one for a night out — and since it’s longwearing… it’s actually quite perfect for nights out!

The top coat adds such dimension to the red, it’s lovely! I’m very interested in these.. long wear is so appealing for day and night!
Yes, it definitely does! What makes me a bit sad is the gloss tends to run out way before the lip color does… and well, once you’re out, you can only get clear or mirror gloss
Are you using two coats of the lip color? I just bought this fabulous color and that’s what the MAC lady told me to do.
I just apply the lip color until it’s even – so it’s not really a full coat, then a second coat, it’s just applying as I go.
I got this one but haven’t tried it yet. What other PLW’s did you get, Christine? What ended up being your haul from these two collections?

I got Custom Rose, Gypsy Rose, Red Reflection, Red Flame, Ripe & Ready for PLWs. I got all of the shadows except Grand Entrance, Top Hat, Star By Night, and the pink one (blanking on the name).
Wow.. its a great color! I’m going today to the MAC store near me (Starflash Baby!!!) and I’ll have to get one of the lustre twins to try it!

Rich Red from Estee Lauder, it’s a little more red then Revolution from Urban decay but similar

OK so after my icky experience with PLW before (which apparently was just ‘cuz I didn’t know to moisturize beforehand, lol) I tried these and…:D The MA recommended this color to me, it is really a super fun red. More wearable than my other reds (Dubonnet, You Say Tomato and PS Kiss). As long as I can apply it neatly, I’d totally wear it during the day.

It only flakes when you put on lip balm under it.

Such a gorgeous deep red! I think this is just as pretty, though it’s a bit brighter and has more shimmer.
The colors are gorgeous but they are not nice to one’s lips. I have three and will probably throw them out! They truly dry one’s lips and cause flaking. This is the first MAC product that I have disliked.

I’ve never had any of that happen to me. The product itself flakes off a bit towards the end of the day, depending on how whether or not you’ve reapplied the gloss, but definitely doesn’t dry out or make my lips themselves flake!
