Laura Mercier Raspberry Sorbet Satin Lip Color
Laura Mercier Raspberry Sorbet Satin Lip Color
Laura Mercier Raspberry Sorbet Satin Lip Color ($22.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark pink with subtle blue undertones. The finish is supposed to be semi-matte; there’s a healthy sheen to the color once applied, but it’s not glossy and looks creamy from afar. Chanel Belgravia is cooler-toned, lighter. Bobbi Brown Mod Pink is lighter, pinker. Dolce & Gabbana Splendid is brighter, less berry. Lancome Posh Pink is redder, more intense.
This particular formula is supposed to be long-wearing, non-drying, highly pigmented, and non-feathering.The color is definitely opaque, and you need very little product to do so; one glide across the lips yields excellent color coverage. It has a creamy consistency that doesn’t feel too heavy or have too much slip. When I tested this shade for wear, it wore well for around six hours, and my lips didn’t feel dry or chapped after such long-wear either, which was a nice surprise. I don’t typically have major issues with lipsticks feathering on me, but just to affirm, Raspberry Sorbet did not feather on me.
Where to Buy: Nordstrom, $22
The Glossover
Laura Mercier's lipsticks are really underrated--I don't remember trying one that didn't wow me! The texture is so creamy without being heavy or slippery, and the color coverage is exactly as described by the brand.

I got this lipstick today and i found it like The Body Shop • Pink Ginger (#14) • Lipstickit is a more traditional opaque formula.creamy texture as well, and very well pigmented. So save money :) .
Woo! So pretty! I only have two lipsticks--one is red, the other is a sheer beige with shimmer. I want to add more to my collection and this would be perfect! Not too dramatic so it can be for everyday use! :D
I love Laura Mercier lipsticks and will put this on my list to swatch during my next trip to Sephora! Such a beautiful, clear berry!
This color is so beautiful! I feel like all LM products except their foundation/TM products are really underrated. I never see other LM products on blogs or boards!
omg that is your color for summer!!! it's a beautiful color and you can tell it's a great texture! love!
I dunno how but everything looks so damn good on you.. pink or red lipstick looks kinda funny on me, though..
I completely agree with you that Laura Mercier is so underrated! I'm definitely biased when it comes to this brand. :) Too bad I can't use this. Boo! That color looks yummy though, in every sense of the word!
Amazing!! Going to have to check this out for sure! I'm also very tempted by the new Neon pink Bobbi Brown lipstick, but waiting for your review (hopefully) before I buy!
Gorgeous! I will have to pick this one up when I'm at Sephora (which will be in the next 2 weeks or so), assuming they have it there.
