Laura Mercier Deep Garnet Eyeshadow
Laura Mercier Deep Garnet Eyeshadow
Laura Mercier Deep Garnet Eyeshadow ($22.00 for 0.09 oz.) is a deep, dark purple-burgundy with a soft, frosted finish and tiny flecks of ruby red shimmer. It is darker than MAC Deceit. The base of Deep Garnet is similar to MAC Shadowy Lady. I think the intensity and depth of this particular shade is what really makes it sing.
The texture is divine; silky smooth, finely-milled, and so soft it almost feels like a cream. With a fabulous texture comes intense color payoff. It wears well without any concerns over an eyeshadow primer/base, but these are touted as being long-wearing with good adhesion on their own, which is where I’ve encountered a couple of issues. With Deep Garnet, it wore for eight hours without creasing, but there was slight fading.
Where to Buy: Nordstrom, $22
The Glossover
The eyeshadow is richly pigmented with a decadent texture that's soft, smooth, and easy to blend. As long as you wear an eyeshadow primer, you won't have any problems with this shade.

Product & Review FAQ
Where can I purchase it? How much is it?
Nordstrom, $22.
Is it limited edition?
Yes.
Any dupes?

I love this colour! Does anyone know where i could get this in Australia? I have been trying to google but haven't found anything yet :-( Appreciate anyones help :-)
I went to a Bloomie's to swatch this today and the color was not as intense as this pic. Do you just swatch with your finger? It looks so beautiful here, but I was so disappointed in store.
No, I don't! I'm not sure what the state of the tester was - as often testers get solidified from oily fingers!
Wow, that is gorgeous! Have to hit Bloomies tomorrow for an exchange & will now have to skulk by the LM counter to check it out. Hope the hubby doesn't mind Eggos for dinner this week. I think I may get into a lot of trouble checking this site every day, I am so weak, sigh...
LOVE it! Reminds me of the purple in my D&G eyeshadow set. I'll remember this for when I run out of the other!
When I bought MAC Beauty Marked, THIS is the type of color I wanted! That color is a dark grey (no matter what anyone says, in no way is it a purple) but looks purple in the pan. I NEED THIS COLOR.
Christine did you find this warm or more neutral? (I love this but I do lean warm and I have to order online so I can't swatch for myself). Thank you!
I love this collection-- but passed on this particular color, found it just too dark. Beautiful, yes, but not as wearable as crystal beige (same collection). After a certain age, creating your "smoky eye" doesnt make you look sultry, just tired. I dont need makeup to make (my tiredness) more noticeable! Love most LM make up though!
Ooh, just found myself a Christmas present! It has so much depth, and that shade would look amazing on green eyes!
That is one beautiful color. Unfortunately, burgundies tend to make me look washed out and severely bruised, but I'm sure some ladies out there will make it look great! :)
On the Neiman Marcus website, the description says that the eyeshadow should only be used dry. Do you know why that is?
lol..that's my thought process whenever i see a shade like this. i have way too many colors just like this but it's just so PRETTY.
The shade in the pan reminds me of Bobbi Brown Black Berry from last year's holiday collection. This is more pigmented though.
