Lancome Juicy Tubes
Lancome 100% Natural Juicy Tubes: Rose Pretty, Blushing Beauty

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Lancome’s Juicy Tubes, the brand has created four shades of 100% Natural Origins Juicy Tubes. The gloss is made out of 100% natural ingredients, natural flavors and fragrances, natural coloring agents, and FSC certified 100% recyclable material carton.

It is available in four shades: Blushing Beauty (sheer pale pink), Sheerfully Sweet (sheer nude-brown), Pink Precious (soft pink), and Rose Pretty (sheer strawberry). Each retails for $18.

Juicy Tubes are certainly on the sheerer side of things, and to be honest, I’m definitely not an expert on Juicy Tubes in general. These are some of the first Juicy Tubes I’ve tried in quite awhile. I like them for a slick of gloss, but if you’re looking for color, definitely look elsewhere. I tried three of the four shades and they all looked the same on me: clear but ultra glossy.

The gloss looks slick, juicy, and incredibly glossy. It’s a moisturizing gloss with a thicker, jelly texture. I find they last around two to three hours on my lips. I don’t find these particularly sticky–I’d say marginally sticky to non-sticky–but the thicker texture may make you feel like they’re a little sticky. They taste like sweetness (likely from the honey in it) and have an overall sweet scent that’s pleasing and not overwhelming.

I think they’re nice, but since they are on the sheerer side, I don’t see the need to own all four shades–just one will do. If you have very little natural pigment in your lip, you might see a smidgen of color, but on more pigmented lips, they’re definitely going to look pretty clear.

  • Product: 27/30
  • Value: 8/10
  • Ease of Use: 4/5
  • Packaging: 5/5

Recommendation: Those who love glossy lips with little color will like Juicy Tubes. They’re a great gloss that doesn’t dry out lips with a sweet taste and scent. If you’re more of a colored lip gloss kind of person, you may find these not to your taste.

    Do these smell like honey?

I like Juicy Tubes as layering glosses. I had bought some mineral lipsticks a while ago that looked terrible, but layering Juicy Tubes over top saved them from the trash! I think the colour comes through a bit more if you layer them over a lipstick.

I’ve never understood the fascination with Juicy Tubes. I remember when they were so popular, and I just couldn’t understand why women collected them. I have always thought of them as a glorified and pricey lip balm.

  4. Hi!
Could you please post a pic of the ingredient’s list?
I’m really curious to see if this product is as natural as it claims to be!

    Thank you!

    Hi Christine!
Are these thicker in texture than the regular juicy tube?

I think Juicy tubes are a gloss that every girl should own , they feel , taste and smell amazing , I think its just like an extremely glossy lipbalm , and boys really like them too =) I will get them for sure !

thank you thank you thank you, I was searching for these swatches and I didn’t see them at nordstrom a week ago. I thought blushing beauty had more of a frost judging by the pic on the website but there is nothing really special about it. what did you think of pink precious, does it have more pink color payoff? I was attracted to these becasue of the natural ingrediants.

Aww thanks so much for reviewing these Christine. I didn’t think you would but you did, like 2 days after I requested. Haha this is awesome. Hmm I guess if I feel like splurging I might get one, but I’m thinking I will pass after all.

lancome does animal testing, so i do not buy this brand anymore. i wish others would take my lead and do the same.

I love that these are all natural. Last summer Lacome released limited edition Juicy Tubes PURE (pure unique raw elements) which were also all natural but were much more pigmented than these ones look. I was excited for these and wanted to get all of them, but now that I see how sheer they all are I will probably just pick up one to layer over lipstick.

Thanks for the review, Christine, it helped!

I’ve heard good things about Juicy Tubes. Too bad Lancome tests on animals, I won’t use their products. :(

Thanks for the review, Christine! Can you please post a lip swatch? :)

  13. I have a Juicy Tube in “Fraise” (smells and taste like strawberry) and I love it. I guess I was lucky when I chose this because seems like the rest of the line isn’t that pigmented. A little sad because I did love the feel of them.

Fraise is just amazing on top of red lipsticks or my natural red lip because not only of the glossiness but it makes my red lips/lipstick redder and brighter – so pretty!
