INSPIRATION: A modern, edgy look with a young vibe
Campora started out by applying FEKKAI COIFF STRONG HOLD VOLUME MOUSSE combing the product through the hair. He dried the hair straight using a FEKKAI LARGE ROUND BRUSH. He then used a 1 inch curling iron to create waves and texture. He added the FEKKAI AU NATURAL DRY SHAMPOO for extra volume and movement. He tied a number of loose braids on the sides of the head beginning half way down the strands, leaving them untied at the ends to create extra dimension to the look. He then pulled all the hair back into a low chignon and secured with large bobby pins. He finished with FEKKAI GLOSSING SHEER MIST for shine and FEKKAI SHEER HOLD HAIRSPRAY for all night hold.

Can she ever smile?
She smiled in some other photos. And, some people has a shy characteristic that they hardly smile, especially in front of the camera in such an important event. This is Kristen’s style: cold, shy and mysterious. I love her!

Would it kill her to look like she’s enjoying something?! I can never pay attention to her outfit/hair/makeup because the sourpuss look on her face always stands out the most!
Um, she is smiling in the second picture? There’s no need for you to have a sourpuss attitude.
That’s a pretty sad excuse for a smile in my opinion. It’s one of those painful “I’m only smiling because people expect me to” looks in my opinion.

LOL Yea…because R Pattz wasn’t there… She usually clings to him… I think out of nervousness… at least in the pics I’ve seen of them in mags from twilight / new moon promos…

I LOVE that dress!! her makeup is kinda boring, and her lips look completely… empty. I actually like her smile. I look awful when I smile with my mouth open, so i’m probably biased, though!
I don’t like the fact that she never smiles either! Even in the 2nd pic, she seems to have more of a smirk than a smile LOL Some people take themselves waaaaay to seriously . . .

I don’t take it personally LOL — just an observation that the girl *never, ever* smiles. That’s fine if she doesn’t — just kinda odd to me. Just an opinion! And I just don’t like her look — lots of people do — that’s great. People are entitled to different opinions!!
Uh, I don’t smile when I’m just standing there. I smile when I find something funny or when someone makes me happy or laugh. Also maybe she is self conscious of her smile…many people are. And frankly I think people who judge her based on whether she smiles or not are taking it too seriously.
Look at the second picture, she’s shy. Kristen is always shy especially in front of those cameras. Watch some interviews and you can see it more clearly.

Dress is stunning, and who cares if she doesn’t smile 24/7? If I was at the Academy Awards I myself would feel a little awkward standing there with so many people. It’s a type of personality, nothing personal to anyone.
It’s obvious that big award shows aren’t really her scene, so that’s probably why she’s not smiling. During the red carpet live, she was smiling off and on. I always love her makeup and she always looks the best in black or shades of gray.

I kind of feel like she is playing dress up here. The dress is nice but too old for her. Her make up isn’t good in my opinion, especially the eyes. She looks super washed out….hate the hair. She is a pretty girl but this look does nothing for her.
I wish I could throw some chandelier earings on her at least!

I’ve never seen her movies but, from the award shows ive seen her at and heard her talk at, im not a fan. at least act enthusiastic. Usually she looks like she hasnt showered in days. She looks beautiful tonight though.

I never get a shy or nervous impression from her in interviews. More of snobby and high maintenance sense of entitlement. I just think she always seems so bored at events and unappreciative of the oportunities she’s been given. She looks as dull as ever in this pic. You’re at the oscars. Cheer up!

I think the dress is gorgeous and I like the slightly-undone updo, and I love her makeup, as usual. I’m not a fan of her movies and honestly couldn’t care less about her personality, but I generally dig her look.

Okay, I watched this live on E! as she was posing for these photos. It wasn’t just her lack of a “genuine” smile or the lack of jewelry (she really did need more than a bracelet) it was her whole attitude. It stunk! She just honestly acted as if she didn’t want to be there. I’ve seen people going off to a root canal in a better mood. (Did her dog die that morning or something?!) It’s one thing to be shy and reserved and it’s another to just have a lousy attitude. Even when she came out on stage with Taylor her attitude still hadn’t improved. She looked and acted completely miserable. If she didn’t’ want to be there, or didn’t feel well, or just couldn’t appreciate the privilege, she should have cancelled.
Exactly! In every TV interview I’ve seen her in – she comes off quite rude and acts annoyed at the person interviewing her. Kind of like she is too cool. Which is much different than being shy. I can understand not smiling 24/7. But it honestly looks like a snarl in that first pic!!
i have to agree! I was like, gosh someone looks like they just can’t wait to get this presentation over with! EIther that, or she was crazzzy nervous! she was coughing, having trouble reading without sounding monotonous…it was odd…dang!

Ok her first photo scared me, I don’t know if it was her makeup or the pulled back hair, but it makes her look like she’s got too much forehead and jaw, and the rest of her features are squashed into the center of her face.
I actually find her second photo quite cute, she’s got an almost impish grin on her, and her dress is really stunning!
She’s one of the most popular actresses in the world right now, tons of teenage girls look up to her, she’s filthy rich, and she’s living the dream. She consistently has a, “Can I GTFO of here?” look on her face when she’s in thousand dollar dresses surrounded by the most respected people in the business and hundreds would KILL to be in her position. So, yes, I think people are entitled to dislike the fact that she looks like she never wants to be at these events and she hates her fans and is an unappreciative brat. Stand up straight and smile, girl. This is the career path you chose.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s the recession or something but imo having the attitude she possessed at the Oscars is inexcusable, and during these hard times people of privilege, any amount of privilege, really need to be aware of humility. I think during better times you can get away with being a little snarky and aloof but not right now. The fame and fortune she’s experiencing can and could be taken away in the blink of an eye. Hollywood is fickle. She’s the flavor of the month *right now.* And I don’t’ want it seem as though I’m picking on her. I’m not. Should she be smiling 24/7, always dressed to expectations, and over obliging to the media and fans? No, absolutely not. However, should she be humble and gracious and appreciative of her blessings? Yes. You can still do that while being edgy, cool, and Goth. And you know what? If she’s the great talent so many seem to think she is (I’ve never seen her work), she should have used those talents and “acted” happy and gracious.
I think I like her better with her hair down, it looks nicer on her.
Needs earrings or a nice necklace. Too bare up top. Dress is gorgeous. And her hair — fantastic! I was personally just happy to see her glam it up just a bit, versus her usual “mullet” style hair. She looks great. Although the look on her face seems that she’s very uncomfortable or annoyed.

I love her. I think she looks really nice even without earrings. I think not having one’s ears pierced makes a statement. Because it’s like EVERYONE including guys now have theirs done now. It’s whatever to me. Her dress is really nice, the layers and the shape of the dress on her body looks really cool. Rock on Kristen! I Love twilight.
