I have freckles and a lot of natural redness. I need medium coverage to help even me out!

  2. Went with medium as there was only one choice for the poll… But I have a range of foundations from tinted moisturizer to full coverage for different occasions, time of year, weather conditions and how I’m feeling in general towards my skin that day.

Ideally, a perfect foundation should be sheer to medium with buildable coverage.

It really depends on what I’m doing. If I want intense full face makeup, I want a good base, so I usually go with a light-medium foundation, building up to medium coverage in any areas where I may need. But really, most days I need sheer or tinted moisturizer, and that’s most often when I use in the summer. If I’m doing light makeup, quite often I’ll skip foundation or TM all together and just touched up around my nose and eyes with concealer, using cream products on the rest of my face.

I went with light-medium, because that’s what I usually wear. However, I also love to have really full coverage foundations that are flexible – easy to sheer out or wear with fuller coverage. I prefer that to trying to build up something too sheer.

  6. Depends how my skin is doing really and for what reason. Medium-Heavy coverage for photoshoots and theatre. On a daily basis, light if my skin’s good, and medium if it isn’t.

light to medium but i end up doing crossfit in the mornings so i just end up using tinted moisturizer everyday.

  8. It totally depends on the occasion but on a day to day basis definitely light.

  9. I can never rely on just one foundation. Depending on my skin, the time of year and the day I have different coverage, formula and finish preferences.

  10. Full Coverage for me as I can always sheer them out for light or medium coverage when I don’t need to correct for my face redness. πŸ˜‰

  11. I prefer sheer to medium. I have some dark spots but they’re not really that noticeable. I don’t even wear foundation regularly so the lighter the better

  12. Full coverage. All day, everyday (and night!)

  13. I have never found full coverage to look very good in true light so I prefer medium coverage where I can build in the areas where I have redness–cheeks, chin, nose. Am I the only one who has a red chin? Foundation hates my chin and I always having to do a last minute touch up since I tend to balance my hand on my chin to apply eyeliner, mascara, etc.. argh!

A lot of the time I will use a TM or light coverage as a base and then a heavier coverage just in the areas I need it. Many foundations have matching colours across their range so it’s easy to find two formulas that match and work really well together.

I have red freckles(!) and a small scar leftover from an infected pore on my chin, so I feel ya bro. I always wind up going over it with concealer because I tend to lean on my chin while reading.

  14. Medium yet lightweight

  15. I absolutely can’t stand the feeling of having something on my face – it has to be very light coverage for me! Even if I have to put up with a couple of spots peeking through, I just can’t do anything more. I’m not sure quite why I hate the ‘makeup’ feel so much…

  16. Full, otherwise I don’t see the point to it. πŸ˜€

  17. On good skin days it sheer to light with dewy finish but otherwise medium coverage to make my skin a feel good look.. πŸ˜€

Medium. Most days I go out without makeup so if I’m taking the time out to put on makeup then I want some coverage but full just looks horrid and masklike in daylight so medium it is.

  19. I generally have good skin, so I go with a light to medium coverage just to even out the appearance of my skin. I’m also not a fan of how “mask-like” some full coverage foundations look . . . I might yet have to find the one that suits me, I suppose.

Light. For anything that might need more coverage, I use concealer :).
