Katy Perry @ 2010 MTV Movie Awards
I’m loving her eye brows – the arch and shape really wow me!
Makeup How-to:
The wig was definitely the focal point of the look so we wanted to balance that bright color out with a dramatic glamorous eye and keep the rest of the colors nude. She wanted a polished chic look. For her face I used Makeup For Ever HD Foundation followed by COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Plush Peach to give her cheeks a warm glow.
On Katy’s eye I used COVERGIRL Line Exact in Black. I love liquid liner because it allows you to change the shape of an eye, we wanted to create a more almond shape for Katy. Above the black liner, I used the white shade of the COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Onyx Smoke. In her waterline I applied new COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Silver Spark to make the eyes pop. Women tend to be afraid to use liner in the inner eye but it actually balances out a dramatic eye look. To finish the eye I applied multiple coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion in Very Black.
On her lips I used COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in Flirty Nude and applied LaMer Lip Balm on top for a touch of shine. Before her performance I punched up the look a bit by adding COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Blue Bloom for a pop of color and COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in Everbloom Kiss. Katy loves the Outlast Lipstains because they are great for when she performs; they don’t stick to her hair or microphone and never smudge. — Jake Bailey

Ha ha! I completely agree! In videos they usually look normal, but in photos they always look weird and vacant, like she’s forcing them open reeeaaally wide or something.

I’m not really loving the dress, although it’s hard for me to tear my eyes away from her awesome legs long enough to notice it, haha! Love the yellow manicure, the eyeliner’s nice since she didn’t pair it with super bright lips (for once), and OMG do you think that’s her real hair?

Not a big fan of her but she looks amazing! Her make up is flawless! Her hair is blue, very blue, but a blue that’s done so well!! Love the yellow nails, the shoes go great with the dress, and the dress is really her!!

ummmmmm. she confuses me….but thats katy for ya. lol. i agree that her skin looks flaaaawless and her eyebrows are nice too…but i think her brows look toooo fake and “made-up” looking for me though. i can see where the make-up starts on her right eye, too. im not against filling them in or anything but i like too see a little bit of ‘natural’ brow, not drawn on.

Hum ok I need an answer here? Why is she wearing drugstores make up!?!? She can afford high brand make up and they are suppose to be better quality right so WHY!?!?!
Her makeup artist is probably a representative of CoverGirl, and thus used mostly CoverGirl makeup.
And just because it’s from the drugstore doesn’t always mean it has a bad quality to it.
It was the makeup artist that decided to use the CoverGirl stuff. And why can’t someone famous like drugstore makeup, just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you automatically like it.
if someone described this to me.. blue wig, white and black winged liner, nude with rhinestones dress, yellow nails etc i would think omg disaster but somehow she managed to pull it off and looks awesome

IMO blue shoes (in the exact color of the wig) would have done a better job in pulling the whole look together..
i admit though that neutral color is always an excellent choice to make the legs look longer and the whole body more slender.

Love this look! I think she did a great job. Love the hair, nails, and dress. The only thing I dislike is her shoes! I wish she would have went with nude shoes. But I still think this look is great.
