69th Annual Golden Globe Awards: Katharine McPhee
A look at Katherine McPhee as she walked the red carpet at the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California on January 15th, 2012. Her makeup was done by makeup artist Lauren Andersen. To complement Katharine’s ethereal Donna Karan number, Lauren crated an equally innocent beauty look that was fresh-faced and youthful. “This beauty look was very sweet,” Lauren said. “I used the flower Baby’s Breath as my inspiration for creating a look for Katharine that was simple and natural.”
Makeup Breakdown
To create the base for her look, Lauren started with Cle de Peau Beaute Refining Fluid Foundation SPF 24. Next, she applied L’Oréal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush in Celestial to the apples of Katharine’s cheeks for a soft, natural flush
On the eyes, she swiped L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte across the lids, blending it into the crease for a sultry, warm smoky eye. She also thinly lined eyes with L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Brown to deepen the look of lashes, which she coated with L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara
For the lips, Lauren used Dior Rouge Contour Lip Liner in Linen and L’Oréal Paris Infallible Gloss 8HR in Petal. Lauren finished with a dusting of YSL Poudre Sur Mesure – a semi loose powder in neutral to set the overall look.
