Illamasqua Seduce Cream Blush
Illamasqua Seduce Cream Blush

Illamasqua Seduce Cream Blush

Illamasqua Seduce Cream Blush (£16.50 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “warm rose pink” with a “dewy finish.” It’s a medium-dark raspberry pink with warm undertones and a dewy finish. It can be very opaque if you wish it to be, but it is blendable if you want softer, sheerer color (and I caution you to use a dab at a time). It reminded me of MAC Mighty Aphrodite, perhaps blended. MAC Amazon Princess is a bit darker, redder. MAC Full Fuchsia is darker, pinker. Bobbi Brown Plum is darker, redder.

Seduce wears six to seven hours on my skin, which has been normal-to-dry but closer to normal than dry (no dry patches, despite the winter temperatures!). The finish is softly dewy; it’s not slick, shiny, or oily-like in any way, but it will give the skin a glowy look. If you are very sensitive to “glow,” then this may be too much for you. I expect it will be a welcome glow for most, though. The texture of the blush is creamy and soft, and once applied, it feels like it melts against the skin, so it looks natural and doesn’t feel heavy. It also worked well over and under foundation without caking or looking patchy.

Where to Buy: Illamasqua, £16.50

The Glossover

B+

I can see why Illamasqua's Cream Blushes are popular; the wear is good (but it has some room for improvement), and the color is buildable and blendable, which are really two must-have characteristics of a cream blush.

I love your makeup here, you loo so pretty! great color combination!!!

Love it! And your makeup looks flawless as usual!

Niceeeee! Just wanna know that does "thebalm bahama mama" matches with all skin tone?

Wow Christine, you look absolutely STUNNING! Please tell us the rest of the look - eyes, lips - thanks!

gosh, u look fabulous! just stunning

Christine--what are you wearing on your eyes and lips? The overall look is great on you!

I'm just now discovering the importance of cream blush in the winter when my skin is so dry! I never noticed how flaky powder blush looks on me in the winter until just a couple weeks ago. However, I REALLY need to expand my collection because I only have the two cream blush/lip glosses from the Balm's Muppets palette! I also used a Revlon Lip Butter when I was in a pinch, it actually worked pretty well, lol! I think I'll have to check out this Illamasqua product. Thanks!

heeeey you loook greaaaaaat ;)

Very pretty look - what are you wearing on your eyes?

Looks like a pretty color. P. S. I think you look exceptionally beautiful in the pic with the combination of warm colors you have going.

Looks quite natural and pretty to me! Too bad illamasqua is unavailable in canada. By the way, what are you wearing on your lips? It's so pretty!

This is suchhh a beautiful shade! Kinda reminds me of a more subdued and creamy version of their Tweak blush (which I have to use more often!!)

WOW!! Christine you look so pretty!!!! That is a GREAT blush on you!!!!

it looks absolutely amazing on ye lady :)

Pretty, but its lifespan is only 9mo? I mean, I always hold onto things way longer than I'm "supposed" to, but still.

did the product come scratched like that?

No, I did it so it would be easier to photograph!

Beautiful colour. Why, oh why Illamasqua, aren't you available in Canada!!!! *Big pout*

You can order Illamasqua products at asos.com. They provide free worldwide shipping. :)

That was extremely helpful. Thanks!

Pretty lipstick! which one are you wearing?

Since you remarked about the wear, what blushes (brand, type/formula) have longer wear times? Do any last 12 hours or more? I feel like blush is the first makeup item to fade on me during the day. Usually by lunch time (about 5-6 hours of wear), I can't tell that I applied any that morning.

Off hand, I can't think of anything that really lasts 12 hours or longer!

It's a cute berry color! I can see from the pictures that it sweats quite a bit though. I've heard people complain about products sweating, but does it affect the quality/usage?

I've only had products sweat when I initially get them, but after I wipe it off, I don't have any problems! I've never felt like it affected the product, though.

That's really pretty! I need more Illamasqua products in my life. I own only two intense glosses by them.

I love your eye makeup in these pics!!!! What are you wearing?!

Wow, this really sheers out more than expected!

I wore it sheer - you can see in the swatch that you can get a much more opaque look if that is your desire.

i'm surprised you gave it such a low rating since it really is a fantastic product. what is the cream of the crop cream blush for you?

Hi Michelle, If you read the review, you'll notice that the wear brings down the grade the most! I haven't found my holy grail blush.

why is the love it or leave it system not there anymore? I think it was very helpful and a nice feature to see the opinion from the readers of the blog (:.

We had to temporarily disable it because it was slowing down the entire site. I posted this on Twitter and Facebook to alert readers as soon as we did it.

Possibly a dupe for the old, Blushcreme version of Mac's Poesy?

This is pretty, it looks a little dark for my skin tone though x

When I saw this post, and how beautiful the dewy finish of an Illamasqua cream blush is, it reminded me to wear my Illamasqua cream blush more. I have one, Rude, I just don't wear it that often.

oooh, this is really pretty!

Applied.with fingers or brush? Also, christina I need help - i got make up for ever gf founation on my new white jeans... and washing did not take the small stain out. how do i remove it? Sorry, off topic question, I know, but they are brand new plz help! Since u work with makeup a lot i thought is ask. Thanks

Brush! I honestly don't know how to get foundation out of clothes! I would google it, because that's all I would be able to do for you! I think you might be out of luck if you've already washed it though - I think that may set the stain? I am not sure though. You could also potentially take it to a dry cleaner who may know more!
