Illamasqua Atomic Lipstick
Illamasqua Toxic Nature: Atomic Lipstick
Illamasqua Atomic Lipstick (£15.50 for 0.14 oz.) is new for spring/summer and part of the brand’s Toxic Nature collection, which should show up at Sephora in April. For now, though, it is available through Illamasqua directly. Illamasqua describes Atomic as a “fuchsia violet.” After swatching and applying, Atomic is a deep, reddened fuchsia with violet and fuchsia sheen. It has that satin finish but such a strong pull of iridescent sheen that it almost looks like a frost.
my thoughts on the formula: Illamasqua’s Lipstick formula feels a little dry when applied, but let it warm up on your lips, because it really isn’t the drying kind. It does hug the lips, though, which makes it a much longer wearing lipstick (six hours or more).
Where to Buy: Illamasqua
The Glossover
This is a shade that will wear for hours and hours. With the semi-matte finish, it really hugs lips and stays put--I noted very few traces of lipstick on my coffee cup. It may stain a bit, too, which will contribute to an overall appearance of longer wear. Illamasqua's does a really nice job with the sheen level in this shade, because though it has a menagerie of near-dupes, the way it catches light makes it different enough in a spectacular way.

Fab Color! I rarely wear pigmented glosses and lipsticks but fuschia is definitely a color I love wearing when it comes to lipstick.
I went out and got NYX Chloe after you said it was a close dupe since Illumasqua isn't in stores yet and it's a bit pricey for my current budget and I LOVE IT. Thanks!
WOW! That's a lovely metallic sheen!!! Ah, too bad most Illamasqua lip products a bit drying on me...
I own NYX Chloe (which I got after reading your review and I love it) and now I'm wishing it had that sheen!
Fuchsia usually isn't my favorite color of lipstick, but this is gorgeous! The texture, the intensity, the finish; I love everything about it!
Love It!!! Will definitely add it to my pink lipstick collection. And CHristine Pink is definitely your color. Every pink lipstick that you swatch looks EXELLENT on you!
It looks amazing on you! I don't suppose you remember what's on your cheeks in that photo - your skin looks so glowy!
Oh my god. I. NEED. THAT. Adore Illamasqua's matte lipsticks too, some people may find them too drying but I love the texture. So many lipsticks are so slippery these days, really hate that. MAC and Illamasqua make the best vintage matte reds!
Christine...gosh,Im jealous right now. How come every frickin shade of lip color, no matter how awful in the tube, looks great on you?! Im still waiting to see one lipcolor review/swatch that doesn't look good on you! jk ;)
This seems a LOT like NYC's blue rose. For a much cheaper option I highly recommend that... It is one of my favorite lipsticks and is only $2
The finish reminds me very much of their Underworld lipstick. I have Underworld, and it is a beautiful violet with a chrome finish, but it goes on SO unevenly! The finish of this lipstick is the same as the finish of Underworld, but it is not streaky and uneven like Underworld is. If you ever get Underworld, could you review it Christine?
Wow, gorgeous color. I'm still hesitant on their lipsticks since my lips dry out easily, but I must check them out. Btw, is the price listed correct? They seem to go much higher at the Sephora stores.
Wow! That is undeniably gorgeous. Speechless. And that's coming from someone who hates frosty/shimmery/glittery lipsticks. I may just have to add this to my collection of cream and matte lipsticks.
