Makeup & Beauty Tips on How to Layer Lip Products

Share your best tips and tricks for layering lip products!  Feel free to share your first experiences, how you’ve grown, what you’ve learned, and what, ultimately, you found most helpful in learning how to layer lip products.  (And if you haven’t conquered it, hopefully some of these tips will help you get there!)

Temptalia’s Tips

1. Invest in at least a lip brush OR a few disposable lipgloss applicators–you don’t want your sheer beige gloss to turn pink because you applied it over red lipstick once!
2. More opaque glosses will have more of a color impact when layered over a lipstick, so if you don’t want to change the base color a lot, opt for something with less color, more shimmer/gloss.  If you want more change, then choose something with a stronger color base.
3. A little gloss on the center of the lip can act to highlight and make lips appear larger/fuller
