I can’t live without hand cream. I use it everytime after I washed my hands and in between when I feel that I need it. And an extra thick layer before going to sleep. My favourite brand is L’Occitane.
@Martine, L’Occitane is amazing, amazing stuff. I just ordered some of the hand cream a few days ago, in fact. LOL. I also really love Pacifica. Tahitian Gardenia…. mmmm.
Never. I don’t like greasy/slippery/wet hands. I really should though.
I actually thought about this last week. I don’t think I’ve used hand cream since way before Christmas! I never get dry skin anywhere on my body :S
Every few hours. I love the Jergens Intense Moisture Therapy and the Suave Cocoa & Shea Butter. No greasy feeling and they last for hours. Baby soft hands <3
I have no idea how someone can just NOT put hand cream on after they wash their hands.
I live on a farm and wash my hands a lot! Hand lotion is a definite must, especially in winter!
I feel like this is something some people do a few times a day, and the rest don’t do it at all. I rarely use handcream as I usually don’t feel like the skin on my hands needs the extra moisture.
I teach food and nutrition so some days, I wash my hands literally every 3 minutes (today was one such day) so I apply hand cream often.
humm… never!
This is the one area of skin care that I’m AWFUL about! Year round, I always have heavy duty sunscreen on any exposed areas.. except the back of my hands haha! I have this vision that when I’m old, I’m going to have nice skin everywhere… except some (contrastingly) super wrinkly, sun-spot covered hands lol! I really need to get on top of this. It’s just that I always wash my hands after applying sunscreen… so it’s difficult to apply sunscreen to the back of my hands and then not washing it off as I wash my hands. It’s not impossible, but it’s another step that I so far, have not taken the time to consistently do. Haha. ;(
I’m a fairly chronic handwasher, and in between washings, it’s hand sanitizer, so I pretty much *have* to use hand creams and lotions.
I use my a lot. I’ve got pretty hard water where I live so my hands hurt after washing them, so I throw my lotion on them then.
I use hand cream as needed but I ALWAYS use sunscreen on my hands.
If I don’t use it every time I wash my hands, they feel uncomfortably tight and my cuticles look disgusting! It’s a total necessity for me. My favorite is probably Neutrogena’s Norwegian Formula hand cream. It’s thick and moisturizing, but doesn’t stay greasy. And it’s cheap!
Heh. I was just thinking about this a few days ago. I don’t put on hand cream nearly as often as I should but, when I do, I always think, “Why don’t I do this more often???” So, I ended up ordering some L’Occitane hand cream which is really silky but never greasy. They have some incredible products, imo. A close tie for favorite may be the Pacifica brand. The Tahitian Gardenia has such a mindblowing smell!! Jasmine, orange, tea leaves, ylang ylang. And it’s incredibly moisturising, quickly absorbing and long-lasting too! It’s also vegan-free, no animal cruelty/testing, full of natural ingredients & has no bad ingredients (parabens, etc.). Lastly, it’s much cheaper than L’Occitane for the size/amount so if anyone is interested, they should check out the body lotion or the body butter. (I prefer the lighter body lotion but it’s not as easy to find as Sephora now only carries the body butter.)
Lol, never.
I use Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion every night before bed and usually a few times during the day. I get a lot of compliments on my soft hands, lol.
If I wash my hands more than once a day (which is usually a given), they start to feel really dry and nasty, so I use L’Occitane cooling hand cream gel in the morning and at night and Neutrogena fast absorbing hand cream throughout the day as needed.
I’m obsessed and addicted to hand cream. It’s a must. I’m kind of nuts with the hand washing and sanitizing, so if I don’t use insane amounts of hand cream my hands will dry out and chap. I mean, sans hand lotion, they literally start to bleed because they dry out so much. I can’t stand that feeling, so always applying hand cream.
me too!! my hands start cracking if i dont moisturise enough
i’m in love with victoria’s secret Love Spell hand and body cream! got it at the airport out of boredom and OMG the smell is just amazing
Whenever I wash my hands, which I do several times a day, I put lotion on after. Or if my hands are just feeling dry. My favorites are Aveda Hand Relief, Bliss hand cream, First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream, and Clarins hand and nail treatment cream. I have like three lotions in my purse, four on my desk at work, three on my desk at home. I’m not as good about remembering to put lotion on the rest of me, but my hands are always soft and smooth.
Daily. I suffer from dry skin.
2-3 times a day !
money spent on hand cream is money that could be spent on eyeshadow
Hahaha, Anna!
Pretty much every time I put moiturizer and sunscreen on I do my hands, using the extra to wipe them down after everything else. I also moisturize them fairly often at work, since my job requires a lot of handwashing with anti-bacterial soaps that tend to be very drying.
every moment I get. I buy Curel. my hands are soft. I wash them alot. I have other brand names..they leave sticky residue…La Mer, Cle de Peau, Clarin. I end up using Curel. I have a bottle every where.
I don’t, unless there’s something odd going on and my skin’s dry. I have been trying to use cuticle balm regularly, but that’s a little bit different than putting something all over my hands.
i have one in my purse and another one on my nightstand…. but.. i always forgot to use..
Like once a month or two. Don’t like it.
I use it every night, before I go to sleep
I use the Body Shop hemp hand protector every night. I get a rash on my hands when they get dry and the hemp stuff keeps it to a minimum. I also wash my hands a lot because I work in childcare so they get dry easily.
Every night, and throughout the day especially after working hard in the kitchen. Or when I have nothing to do! Lol!
Multiple times a day, the combination of working with parrots (nails on the hands), OCD and living in a cold climate completely destroy my hands. Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve is the only thing I can use though since my skin is so sensitive, but it works wonders!
I dont really use hand creams
Constantly. My hands take a beating. Now, if anyone is unhappy with their L’Occtane hand creams, I can PM my mailing address…
AS OFTEN AS I CAN!! since your HANDS AGE the FASTEST! its shows your age and it is unlikely(?) that people have surgery procedures,so you can tell if they are starting to age even if they have botox or a new nose etc on their face. hahaha..
Daily, multiple times a day, when I remember….mommy’s hands take a beating!! And no matter how often I use cream, it isn’t enough. I use body oil on my hands when I go to bed to try to help the alligator-ness!
I only use handcream when I see it standing somewhere in the house, but I should use it more often!
