  1. it really just depends. i love doing my makeup, so i kind of take my time if time allows. also, depending on the day i might be doing something crazy and dramatic vs. just mascara.

45 minutes to an hour. I guess I could have just chosed the over 20 minutes option lol 😉

my goodness, what can you possibly do that takes 45 minutes? I mean all there is (max) is washing face, using toner, using a serum, using an eyecream, using a moisturizer, and finally using a sunscreen. what am I missing, lol!?

Oh, maybe I misunderstood the question? I thought the question was how long it took to do morning skin care routine (that was my interpretation of “face” routine). but maybe the question includes make up application too? well if that’s the case I understand that skin care and make up together could take 45 mins! but mine, skin care and make up together take 20 mins I’d think (if I’m doing really nice makeup).

  3. It takes me about 10 minutes to cleanse and moisturize my face and 10 to 30 minutes for make up.

If I have a lot of time to get ready, I enjoy taking my time, and it can easily take over a half hour. Lately though, I’ve been working mornings, so I’ve just been taking about 10 mins to do foundation, powder, blush/bronzer, mascara, and lip gloss.

It usually depends on what look I want to do but if I cut some steps when I am really in a hurry probably 15-20 minutes

  6. Hend

    16-20 mins !

  7. K

    Does this include make-up application?

  8. it takes me about 15-20 minutes to do my whole face including about 5 minutes to let my sunscreen set first.

    This is the usual :)
Washing my face, toning + cream. Sometimes when I have some time I use LUSH’s Mask of Magnaminty :) that’s one of a fresh beginning of the day. 😀

  10. i chose 5-10 minutes. i’ve become quite simplistic when it comes to skincare products because my skin has been sensitive as of late. so cleanse, tone, moisturize, sunscreen; and that’s pretty much it for skincare.

but let’s be real. i get distracted (A LOT) and my morning skincare routine ends up looking like this: cleanse, check email, tone, “oh look! new tutorials!”, moisturize, check blog, sunscreen, reply to comments; and so on and so forth :p

  11. My morning routine is wake up, rinse off face, apply Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer mixed with Cetaphil sunscreen. Apply chapstick, and Cargo Lash Activator. If i’m testing the wear on a foundation or blush, I apply that quickly.

If I put on makeup, its HOURS later, and THAT takes much longer. But I rarely do makeup in my morning. I think it comes of working grave shift.

You apply moisturizer and sunscreen without cleansing your face? I don’t think the moisturizer will sink in if you have the dirt and oil from sleeping still on your face that rinsing with water won’t get rid of.

  12. Yumi

Usually about 5-10 minutes but that’s including letting my moisturizer, sunscreen and primer to set in, during which I usually wander off to do something else.

  13. Leah

I’m 17, so I have a pretty simplistic skincare routine. I wash my face with the amazing Purpose Gentle Cleansing wash(the only thing that has helped with my acne. Then I put on eye cream and moisturizer with sunscreen. Only takes 7-10 minutes.

  14. Charlene

IF I am in a hurry, just powder, mascara and gloss which might take 10 minutes depending on the coverage I want.
IF I go full face about an hour. I like to spend a lot of time on my eyes creating masterpieces. :)

15 minutes for me.. face wash.. then toner.. then eye cream, then moisturizer.. wait till absorb.. and finally sunscreen

It depends on which day, I am homeschooled, and I’m 14, so I don’t see the need to apply makeup every day, I apply makeup twice a week tops, for going out with friends etc. So washing my face in the morning, toning and applying moisturizer takes about 7-8 minutes, and on days I do that and put makeup on it takes around 20 min including both washing the face, toning, moisturizing, and applying makeup (side note: when I DO apply makeup, I almost never apply foundation, it’s usually just a thin line of eyeliner, and lipgloss or lipstick, sometimes 2 eyeshadow colors (one on the lid, another in the crease)and mascara

oops! I didn’t read your replies to the other comments before I posted my first comment, I could of just clicked the 5-10 I guess 😀

  17. Usually the weekend I spend less time, maybe 10 minutes. The week days is double that on average, not including makeup even though I do not wear that much anyways.

  18. Lena

I read this incorrectly and thought it said “morning routine,” at first, meaning makeup, so I voted over twenty minutes. However, it’s actually about five minutes long as I only cleanse, moisturise, and apply sunscreen in the morning. I do everything else (masques, scrubs, eye creams, treatments, etc.) at night.

  19. Zero minutes. I am not a morning person…typically, I don’t even look in the mirror after I wake up.

  20. Kat

5-10 minutes. I wash my face, apply eye cream, let that sink in for a a minute or two, then apply moisturizer, let that sink in for a few minutes, then apply sunscreen, and let that sink in for a minute. Then I apply tea tree oil on any blemishes.

  21. Svetlana

About 15 minutes … Every morning I wash my face, use toner, serum, moisturizer, eye cream, lip cream …

  22. grethy

I only wash my face (without soap, just water) and put some SPF 15 moisturizer. I use eyes & face serum only when I *remember* teehee.
