What were YOUR favorites from the holiday launches? Which collections did you buy from?  Which ones were totally not interesting?

I found myself getting things from… Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clinique, Dior, Givenchy, Guerlain, Jouer, Laura Mercier, Lush, MAC, NARS, Prescriptives, Sue Devitt, and Urban Decay.  WHEW!  I didn’t even realize how much holiday loot I ended up with this year!  Hopefully a few of you had a plentiful holiday collection haulin’ so I won’t feel so alone ;)

Hi, I’m a newbie to your site, and I’m in love!! :)
I got Urban Decay Book of Shadows, and MAC’s Little Darlings lipglass set in Neutral. I’m in love with my Book of Shadows.

    • Nice! What are some of your favorite combos from the Book of Shadows? I should pull that palette out again.

      • Letitia

My most favorite look I’ve done thus far has been with Sidecar, Shakedown, and Protest. I think that Shakedown is beautiful by itself. I actually replicated the purple look you did with the palette. It’s a close second! :)

      • Letitia

Oh yeah, I also did a pretty peachy look with Sidecar, Scandal and Smog (Triple S), and I paired it with MAC’s Slimshine, Missy. I’m African-American and it looked so pretty against my skin tone. My students gave me compliments all day!

I got MAC, urban decay, & NARS. :)

    Hello Christine, fantastic site!
    Well I bought:
    Chanel:
    1. Gold highlighting powder – 2 pieces (because it’s amazing product)
    Lancome:
    2. Diva magic sparkling powder
    Dior:
    1.

    • Whew, that is a bunch, Victoria! I no longer feel alone either, yay :)

I also have the Dior silver liner, and Givenchy Glowing Rose :) I wanted to get Guerlain, but I forced myself to resist!

  5. Victoria

On my opinion Guerlain Midnight butterfly collection is one of the best, i could’t resist:))

  6. Anitacska

Don’t worry Christine, you’re not alone. :) I bought a lot of stuff from these collections incl. Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Dior, Estee Lauder, Givenchy, Guerlain, Laura Mercier, MAC, NARS, Prescriptives, Too Faced and Urban Decay. :o
My absolute favourite collection was the Guerlain Midnight butterfly, I got almost everything (except for the lipsticks and the mascara). I just love the palette and the Meteorites voyage powder, and the scent of the Meteorites. Ah! :)

Guerlain Sublime Radiant Powder is the BEST:) & maybe

    • I’m so hesitant to get the radiant powder, argh! What’s so fab about it? Sell me on it!

      • Victoria

Guerlain Sublime Radiant Powder is sexy, elegant, magnificent product! If you wanna be a star of the party you shold use it, it is like nothing on earth:)) trully:)) u can put it anywhere u want, on your hair, face, shoulders. It’s look especially beautifull on your hair (especially dark hair), when i came out of the store whith that powder on my hair & face, many people (mostly man!!!!) asked me what is that??? I’ll present it to my girlfriend:)), some of them called me barbie or princess:))) it was i little bit strange feeling but pleasant:)) Try it, anyway u don’t have to buy it, but u should:)) Spray it on your hair abundantly, you’ll see that product irreplaceable not only on christmas party, it’s quite delicate to use it just for good mood or if u want some gorgeousness for yourself:))

        • Thank you so much for sharing, Victoria! I’m always curious about products, but sometimes brands like Guerlain are just a wee bit out of my budget. I just may have to succumb :)

          • Victoria

I saw your cosmetic collections, you have plenty of boxes:)) especially MAC, you are a big fan of this brand, are you? If you wish you can make-up womankind of all US:))
Frankly all your looks are really fab, you are make-up professional!!!
But sometimes MAC is too boring, and then I go to Guerlain:)) they have somitimes amazing items, and i don’t want to buy hundred well pigmented MAC eyeshadows, i buy few stunning products from Guerlain or Dior or something, which are really good quality, beautifull and original.
It’s my opinion and my taste:)

            • Thank you! MAC is easiest on my wallet, and it was the first makeup brand I got into–which accounts for why I have so much of it. Nowadays, I lust after higher end brands and products, but it’s still hard to pay for it all (especially knowing I have more makeup than I’ll ever use up!).

          • Victoria

However you look great even without higher end brands!

      • Victoria

if you decide to try it or buy write me:)

  8. Victoria

I got almost everything (except for the lipsticks and the mascara)as Anitacska:)). As i said Guerlain Sublime Radiant Powder is the BEST:) & maybe

I purchased a couple of items from the Red She Said collection, the Threesome trio and “Red” She Said and I must say it is a nice collection. There’s something chic about it, and I really like the lipstick. I also picked up a Passionately Red Viva Glam trio which I love because it includes Viva Glam V and VI as well as the Viva Glam V lipgloss.

  10. Victoria

Danger Zone Trio!!! I love it!! Red colore, I didn’t find anything resembling!!! Did u see or buy Estee Lauder shimmering jewel powder, Christine? What it’s look like?
