Guerlain Gabrielle Le Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick

Guerlain Gabrielle Le Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick ($45.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a sheer, baby pink with soft shimmer.    It’s creamy in texture, and the formula keeps lips hydrated.  This shade wears so-so; I get about three or four hours without having to reapply, but since it’s lighter, once it starts to fade, it’s more noticeable on me.  It’s not as opaque as I’d like, and it reminds me of the way MAC lustre lipsticks look on me (which I don’t love).  I wouldn’t recommend this shade as the first Rouge G to own, just because it doesn’t represent the lipstick as well as some of the other shades.

Wow that’s way more sheer than I had thought! Pretty pink, but definitely not $45 worthy imo.

  2. Andrea

Meh — its not that it looks bad on you, its just really barely there!!

It is a gorgeous colour but not particularly unique, I think I have several colours from MAC and other brands that look like that.

im a purple girl and changed my mind when i went to neimans to ck em out… the reds are really nice too.. i dont do light or peachy… they look like nothing on my lips..”-((

  6. OMG…for $45 I could find something much more beautiful. It almost looks like nothing. I am not being mean to you at all…just the product. I think it is grossly overpriced. I just cannot imagine how anyone would want to spend half of a Franklin on this. Thanks for showing:)

was going to say it does remind me of mac lustres, i wonder which one you would recommend?

  8. mmm I agree with the sentiments expressed by a few others. not worth $45! but then again I don’t know a lipstick that would be.

  9. its a very pretty sheer color..

Is Gabrielle O1 or 02? Humm have to say it’s not a big change on your lips ….

I have this lippie and i LOVE it! It is my HG, maybe because I’m blonde with green eyes, fair skin with cool undertones – I mean that colour looks like “baby pink” on my lips, not too bright “bubble-bum pink” (as it usially happens), and not like boring “nude” one. Yeah, it is overprised, but it’s such a pleasure to open and use it every morning!
Gabrielle looks really cute on you, but almost nude… You should wear red G’s everyday, they are AMAZING on your lips!

Definitely not worth it. You can better enhance your nice lips with some liner and balm, and not waste the $45.

the color of the lipstick in the tube is far more gorgeous…it just doesn’t do your lips justice Christine!

  14. This looks like Angel. I don’t I could break down to pay $45 for lipstick.

I just bought this and really love it. I couldnt find anything in my collection that matched it. It is my first Rouge G and the color and formula are to exceptional. i did not find that it was so sheer on me. Very unique pinky nude color
