Guerlain | EXOTIC PARADISE | Spring 2009

A hymn to the glory of nature

As the winter days come to close, Guerlain rejoices in the frivolity of the season that heralds happiness and abundance. With the spring come new hopes and a carefree spirit, boosted by luxuriant and jubilant nature. To celebrate the triumph of spring, Olivier Échaudemaison has created a rich collection drawn from an eccentric, eclectic garden of Eden, a colorful kaleidoscope of nature’s prettiest, most sensual colors and organic delights. With his exotic palette, he concocts color that stirs optimism, awakens purity and arouses a desire for paradise that hibernates within every woman.

ohh I want the lipsticks so bad! But this is too expensive for me haha! Maybe for my birthday or something haha!

  2. Have you tried Guerlain cosmetics? Do you like the quality/feedback? I know it’s uber expensive so I need a firsthand opinion before I shell out for it :)

I recently bought the Midnight Butterly quad and I am very happy with the pigmentation, quality, and texture of the shadows. They are easily blendable and feel silky to the touch. I’m definitely going to check out this collection because I’m so happy with my first purchase!

    • I’ve liked the Guerlain products I’ve tried thus far! The Meterorites (powder or the balls) are fab highlighters. The lipglosses are sooo luxe!

    • I strongly recommend you the Guerlain products! The eyeshadows are the only one that stay on my eyelids. I really trust their products and also, their skincare is the best! It is worth the money :)

  3. I LOVE Guerlain! Their lipsticks – the shine ones – have a consistency to die for! They’re so silky smooth. All of their products are over the top outstanding. The lipgloss is not sticky and so heavenly!! And the skin care….oh my so expensive, but well worth every drop. I’ve never been able to tell a big difference in the different creams I tried on my skin (Dior, Chanel, Philosophy, etc.) until I tried the Guerlain stuff – absolutely unbelievable difference!

  4. It’s soooo expensive, but for some odd reason I feel the need to have that green lipgloss.

I’ve seen the green lipgloss in a magazine already. It looks pretty cool, I have to say.

Oh it’s so pretty! :) I’ll definitely buy the e/s quad and probably some of the glosses/lipsticks. Might be tempted to get one or two of the single e/s too, will see. ;)

omg the shadows are to die forr!!!! but so expensive :(

I always like the designs on the quads but I didn’t love the color enough in this collection to spend the money. I did like all the colors for the lip glosses, but only purchased the green one since it wasn’t similar to anything else that I had.

OMG! Love Natalia Vodianova! That promo pic is stunning. Do you remember the Chanel Summer collection last year? The model was her too and the palette looks similar.

I finally got to order the eyeshadow quad and the cerise tentation and orange gloss. Have not yet recieved them but i can’t wait to see how it all looks in person. BTW…has anyone seen the new Chanel Moscow nails? I know it’s off subject but just thought i’d ask :)

  12. I can honestly say I have never owned or purchased a Guerlain piece but this collection looks gorgeous!! Wow!

I am so disapointed with Guerlain. I got their 2008 summer collection. I spent about $150 for 3 pieces. The eye shadows were pretty (I got the Bronze Dore 481 ) however the peretty gold design (in this collection it’s a green design) fades within one application and I was left with matte colors. The bronzer had a horible color pay off and so did one eyeshadow (blonde bronze). Their double sided Mascara is actually really good but it’s a little too waterproof. I find that my own eyelashes comeout when I try to wash the mascara off.
