When you wear your jeans, you wear your own legend. The legend of jeans was built by those who have worn them — everyone from cowboys, Indians and gold miners to Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, John Wayne, Marlon Brando, Brigitte Bardot and the Rolling Stones — not to mention Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and so many others. Jeans may be a uniform, but they are unique on everyone!

These trousers made of denim that all of us eternal adolescents try to get into year after year are more than just a garment; they are an accessory that lets us feel at ease and change our look quickly. For the spring-summer 2008 Givenchy Le Makeup collection, I wanted to pay homage to this companion that has the elegance to age along with us, this paradoxical fabric that, even though it has been elevated to “Couture” status, remains faithful to us and helps us express ourselves. It is the ultimate “made-to-measure” product, since it adapts to every figure. Like the pioneers of the Wild West or elegant Parisians, your days and nights will be filled with the spirit of DENIM FETICHE.
