A friend of mine passed along this lil’ survey, and I thought it was fun to fill out to pass along the time of my Tuesday morning. I modified a few questions to make it a little more beauty related :)
What was the last new beauty product you purchased? Guerlain Exotic Paradise quad, glosses, and lipsticks.
When you’re feeling down, ________ lipstick/lipgloss makes you feel happier. RED LIPSTICK! Usually, even though I’m not a big wearer of it, red lipstick cheers me up and makes me feel a little sexier. My never-fail-lip color is Mari-sheeno, though!
What look were you wearing this past Saturday? The naked face. GASP!
What beauty product do you wish you could afford right now? Probably a series of microdermabrasion treatments or something to help reduce scarring on my face.
If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? Concealer. It was an easy trade-off for me, since I rarely wear concealer ;)
Besides you, the biggest beauty addict you know is ___________. You all! I don’t think there’s anyone in my real life that is into makeup whatsoever. You can imagine how much I need this beauty spot as an outlet, right?
Could you go without any makeup for 30 days? I imagine I could, but I wouldn’t want to. It would be hard, and it might take a bit of a toll on my self-esteem given the terrible state of my skin (dermatologist appointment tomorrow AM for the win!).

When you’re feeling down, ________ lipstick/lipgloss makes you feel happier. BRIGHT PINK. Because of this reason, I own a variety of bright pink lipsticks. My favorite combination is probably either Girl About Town/Hollywood Nights with Funtabulous Dazzleglass on top.
What look were you wearing this past Saturday? I believe it was Flammable Paint with Stars n Rockets on top.
What beauty product do you wish you could afford right now? Some sort of high quality moisturizer, because my skin is DRY.
If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? Definitely concealer. I can’t leave the house without foundation, and while I’d have some darkness under my eyes without concealer, I could definitely live.
Besides you, the biggest beauty addict you know is ___________. Definitely the girls I know online (I know one of them in real life, but it was originally from the MAC communities!)
Could you go without any makeup for 30 days? I’m sure I could, but I would hate it. I mean, I go through phases where I don’t really wear makeup. But unless I’m completely depressed, I’ll do basics before I leave the house.

When you’re feeling down, ________ lipstick/lipgloss makes you feel happier. -My Lumene (European brand) Berryfun Lip Glosses because I am from Finland and it reminds me of my heritage and travelling there. Even though some of the line is available in CVS in America now, it is still fun knowing it is the top selling makeup in Finland.
What look were you wearing this past Saturday? -Super dark smokey eye with my new YSL Deep Black duo (inspired by Temptalia.com) with pink lips.
What beauty product do you wish you could afford right now? -4 lipsticks and 4 glosses from the YSL Spring collection. I am waiting until a shopping private event at my fav department store downtown in a few weeks.
If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? -Foundation as I hardly ever wear it. Some powder and concealer and I am good.

If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? Kinda hard..I hate the way I look without concealer. But then again, concealer looks awkward with no foundation. So I guess I’d be more willing to give up concealer rather than having a completely naked face.

What look were you wearing this past Saturday? Neutral/extremely low-key: Select Cover-Up in NW15, Blot Powder (pressed) in Light, Big Fatty Mascara, UDPP, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash shadows in Wheat and Nude, Clinique Black Honey. I should have used some blush, but forgot. :-(
What beauty product do you wish you could afford right now? Ooohhh so many… I really want one of the Barbie <3 Stila cans, but… it’s not so much a question of affording as of needing to restrain myself.
If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? Foundation. Just give me a tube of Select Cover-Up and I’m good to go.

When I’m feeling down, any of my MAC Dazzleglass Lipglosses can make me feel a bit happier.
What look were you wearing this past Saturday? Very natural look for day and for a girls’ night out: Custom-mixed mineral foundation, Sally Hansen’s Natural Beauty concealer in Medium, Bare Escentuals BareMinerals eye shadow in Nude Beach, Dr.Hauschka’s Volume mascara in Aubergine; on lips, a mixture of MAC Dazzleglass in Like Venus and YSL lipgloss in Transforming Champagne; and, on cheeks, MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle.
What beauty product do you wish you could afford right now? One of those Clairsonic brush sets, along with a separate purchase of some refills.
If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? Depends. If in a pinch, I would say foundation because it takes me some time to put it on considering that it’s mineral. Under any other circumstance, probably concealer. I could use foundation to conceal if I had to.
Besides you, the biggest beauty addict you know is no one . Out of all the people I hang out with or associate with, I talk the most about makeup. I admit that I am a little obsessed with it.
Could you go without any makeup for 30 days? I would like to but I don’t think I could considering that my skin is far from perfect.

If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? It wouldn’t matter, I don’t really use either. I’m just starting to use a foundation powder (Bare Minerals), but I don’t wear it everyday.

i played up my eye this saturday. I wore bare study paint pot with cork eyeshadow as my base. Then i put Henna in my crease and satin taupe and carbon eye shadow in the corners. And finished off with zoom lash mascara in black. then i wore blushbaby on my cheeks along with some of the lighter shades on the redhead bronzer to highlight and contour my cheek bones and eyebrow bones.

If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? God, that’s a terrifying thought. I guess concealer even though it would make me totally insecure. As least foundation would give me a decent base, even if it would not cover the blemishes and/or redness well.
Besides you, the biggest beauty addict you know is ___________. Ariele! She comments here now and then. She’s my MAC buddy. ;) Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone else who digs make-up as much as me. I don’t know what I’d do without mac_cosmetics, Specktra and Temptalia. They’re the only people who understand my obsession and do not judge me for it.
Could you go without any makeup for 30 days? The thought of that literally gave me goosebumps. Not only am I not confident to go out without it, but I would miss it purely for artist/creative purposes too. I love make-up… looking at it, applying it, buying it, experimenting with it. I’d feel so lost without it, both physically and emotionally. It’s a huge hobby of mine. It’s part of my self-expression and people have come to know me for it and are curious what I’m going to come in wearing every morning, etc. I’d miss that and the compliments I get because my self-esteem is not great as it is. If I HAD TO, life or death type situation, I obviously could go without it. But I definitely wouldn’t if I didn’t have to.

I don’t tend to wear make-up much at the weekends but I’d really miss it if I couldn’t wear make-up at all for a lengthy period – I find it really relaxing, enjoy putting make-up on and trying out different looks and it’s a really great creative outlet for me.

Sunday, March 8, 2009What was the last new beauty product you purchased? On Friday, I bought Clinique’s Derma White double eye protector, Kiehl’s Ultimate Whitening essence and daily scrub (limited to Asia).
When you’re feeling down, lipstick – in particular YSL’s Rogue Volupte (thanks, Christine, for the great recommendation) makes you feel happier.
What look were you wearing this past Saturday? Natural: Highlighted my face and brightened my undereye with Estee Lauder’s Ideal Light, reddened my cheeks with Benetint, curled my lashes and applied Hello Kitty lipstick in Most Popular and Sweet Strawberry lipglass.
What beauty product do you wish you could afford right now? Cle De Peau concealer? SKII essence? Then again, my Ideal Light has not let me down, and I’m happy with my current beauty regime.
If you had to give up foundation or concealer, which would you give up? Foundation.
Besides you, the biggest beauty addict you know is my friend Mirabel.
Could you go without any makeup for 30 days? I wouldn’t want to!!! I want to use my pretty makeup. Besides, won’t the creamy things spoil faster and go to waste?
