Estee Lauder Wild Violet Pure Color Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a berried dark pink with fuchsia and violet micro-shimmer strewn through the near-opaque color. It has a soft shine in the finish along. It is a new and limited edition shade from Estee Lauder’s spring collection.
my thoughts on the formula: The coverage is excellent, and it feels lightweight despite its pigmentation. It’s also more moisturizing than your average lipstick, which makes it comfortable to wear. I get about five hours of wear with this shade in particular, because it is more pigmented. Estee Lauder’s lipsticks are scented with a lightly sweetened fig but are taste-free to me.

It is a pinker version of MAC Rebel, a slightly pinker version of Tom Ford Moroccan Rouge.
I just picked up this colour today and it's really amazing on my lips (more pigmented than your's although I'm paler) Wild Violet looks a lot more berry and less pink and bright. Absolutely beautiful colour. Just perfect for spring. Now all that's missing is the actual spring ;-)

Hehe, Christine, I loved this lipstick on you the first time it showed up in the pic for a review of something else & half the page was compliments on your lipstick. Among the highest level of compliments I've seen for a lipstick & you have such warm coloring. I've always found I prefer warm toned lips on cool skin and cool lips on warm so this post made me smile. Def would love to see you do more cool lipsticks. :-)

As gorgeous as that color is, I was really hoping it would be as dark on the lips as it is in the tube. I'm still planning on buying it, though (I LOVE Estee Lauder lipstick).

I've long thought that Estee Lauder lipsticks are underrated so thanks for the review! It really is a gorgeous shade and ladies, there are many, many more lovely colours. The Pure Color, Pure Color Crystal & Signature lipstick formulas are really lovely (and much better than MAC in my personal opinion)...
This actually reminds me of an NYX round lipstick in "Chloe", although perhaps a little less purple...A super cheap dupe, maybe?

U look beautifull in this picture! Young, fresh and dewy. Suits you very well with less black on your eyes, you do not need that (though I know it photographs well/better). Lovely shot, really.
Very pretty shade, but when I think of a Wild Violet lip color I think of some form of purple. Not berry. :-(

Love this one Christine. Sounds like you're getting about the same wear I get because I almost always wear EL, I can get 4-8 because I always line too which hold it tight. So pretty, plus you already sold it to half the world yesterday! EL stock shoots up overnight. :-)
