Drew Barrymore @ 2010 SAG Awards
Drew looks lovely, but I really wish she had done some color on those lips… it’s so, so pale.
Makeup Breakdown
Drew’s makeup was done by makeup artist, Debra Ferullo. Drew wanted to do something 60’s inspired by Brigitte Bardot and Sharon Tate. For the makeup, Debra didn’t want to match the blue color in her dress, but rather accentuate Drew’s natural features with warm undertones.
On her face, she prepped the skin with a moisturizer and then used COVERGIRL Clean Liquid Makeup for normal skin followed by a highlighter and COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Blush in Plush Peach on the cheeks.
For Drew’s 60’s inspired colorful smoky eye, Debra applied COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire, using the darker shade on the lid and the taupe shade in the eye crease as well as underneath the eye. She then applied a dot of the silver shade in COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Silver Sky to the inner corner of Drew’s eye to make it pop followed by a thin line of white eyeliner on the inner bottom eye.
She finished the eye with a heavy coat of DiorShow Blackout Mascara to the top and bottom lashes for definition.
On Drew’s lips, Debra applied DiorAddict lipcolor in Beige Negligee #223, followed by DiorAddict Ultra Gloss in Jersey Pink #157 for a washed peach lip with a shiny finish.

See her dress!

bardot and tate's eyes were much darker/dramatic. the lips would have worked if the eyes looked anything like the makeup bardot or tate had.
her make up doesn't suit her. she looks perfect with something more colorful on her lips. and the gown is not flattering, but color is nice. but i still like drew, it's the just make up and gown
I have to disagree with many people on here, I think the face makeup is lovely - a little less WOW than what I would think for red carpet, but I was surprised to read it was Cover Girl foundation, her skin looks amazing! I agree she should have gone with a different lip color. I think that would have made a HUGE difference and pulled everything together.
Nope. Don't like the make up or the dress. What a let down. And she has such a pretty mouth! I think this look is better in person but really does not make good photos. Not her best look at all.
she is great... the color of the dress is pretty but would chop that mini skirt... agreed with you, she needed a bright lipstick!!! overall not that bad
The last time I seen this lipcolor on someone, it was in a drama where the girl was dying of leukemia. So yeah...not the best choice.
OMGosh she looks very unfinished! Like she was running late and didn't get the time to finish her make up, tidy her hair...and chose a perfect dress. YIKES
Bar hair, bad makeup, bad dress. Blech. Those lips have gotta go...oh wait, they're gone! She doesn't have any!
Not liking the sloppy hair or the odd-looking skirt (that dress would be drop-dead gorgeous without that lamp shade). Drew is a beautiful woman. She can pull off a simple makeup look. A tad bit more color would have been nice though.
I was watching this with my brother and he mentioned she should have taken the time to do her makeup, and I think what he meant was that it was so pale (her lips really need some tint to them). Her speech was horrible. Um, um, um. Anyone watch How I Met Your Mother, new drinking game, instead of "but, um" it's "Um, um, um".
It looks like she just got up out of bed, put her hair up, threw on some blush and a dress and walked out the door. Such a disappointment for her :(
The hair is the most exquisitely perfect hair-style i've seen tonight. Beautiful! And I like the paleness in the makeup, especially the while liner on the waterline. Head to toe this is a great look, that dress and color are interesting and stunning on her. I always appreciate twists on classics and I think this is executed nicely.
All I can say is POSTURE! This whole thing would look a lot better if she wasn't hunched over. I agree that last week's makeup would work so much better with this dress. A blue smokey eye would look fab on her with this dress. I really like the textured bodice.
oy! where did that dress come from?? I'm not really a fan of looks that really remind me of prior decades.
The whole thing does not work. The hair, the dress, the makeup is not to swift. Sometimes her sense of style is rather odd.
The dress is funky, beautiful, and looks fantastic on her. I love the white waterline and the messy up-do. But yeah, the lips...oy. Just a peachier nude would have been great!
I think she looks a bit tired and dull here. Even the dress lacks sparkle. I guess they should have given her a more polished hairdo because the hair pulled down the look. I think red lips look best on Drew.:)
Um no. Just no. The makeup looks like if she forgot to do it in advance and did it in the backseat of the limo and she only had foundation and lip balm. The dress is just no.
Agree with you on the lips... and I wish she had defined her eyes a bit more too. She looks really washed out against her dress.
She looks so lovely in rose color lippies. I love her lips at the Golden Globes. This just looks blank unless she really smoked out the eyes. i wonder if she feels like it just doesn't look right.
As much as I love Drew, I like nothing about this look. The dress is unflattering, the hair is a mess, and the makeup just makes her look so worn out. I'm a fan of muted out lips with certain looks, but there's just nothing going on here to make it look remotely flattering. Washed out and frazzled are words I would use to describe this look.
I love Drew But this look is a complit Miss :O( to bad she has gorgeous skin lips and Amazing eyes Why did she let them do this to her :( oxox Still love Her tho Melinda
Yea....NOT the best lip choice. From a distance, it almost looks like she doesn't have any lips, just a slit, LOL.
