Dolce & Gabbana Makeup The Classic Lipstick in Iconic

Dolce & Gabbana Makeup: Classic Red

Dolce & Gabbana Iconic Classic Cream Lipstick ($30.00) is an opaque, creamy bright classic red. The name “Iconic” is incredibly well-suited to this particular shade of red. The formula is long-wearing, moisturizing, and feels great on lips. I love the intense color pay off, and the glossy sheen it gives off without actually being glossy or shimmery. Overall, I loved the formula and color itself–though this particular shade is not for the color-shy!  The gold packaging is luxe and weight-y, though it does hold fingerprints (which is something I dislike, personally!).

  • Product: 9/10
  • Value: 7/10
  • Ease of Use: 8/10
  • Packaging: 7/10

Recommendation: If you love luxury lip products, Dolce & Gabbana’s Classic Lipstick will not disappoint you. This is not a lipstick for everyone, because the price makes it an indulgence. I do wish it was more available, but at least it is available online at Saks.

Availability: Dolce&Gabbana, Saks Fifth Avenue

This colour looks really nice. I know there is a shade of red called Scarlett but what shade does Scarlett actually wear from D & G do you know??? :D

How comparable is it to Lady Danger?

I think Lady Danger has a bit more orange to its tone.

That is just gorgeous!

which color is on the left ? It's such agorgeous nude shade.

got to give it up for that color.

That looks really great on you, Christine! A huge favor . . .if you ever have a chance, could you swatch D&G Dahlia lipstick? I've been wondering about it. Thanks!

Hey Faye, Unfortunately, I don't have easy access to D&G as they're not sold anywhere locally :( I'll see what I can do, though!

It looks gorgeous, I might add it to my +long+ b-day gift list!

I have about 11 or 12 of these in both finishes and they are by far the best lipsticks I have ever owned! They stay on forever and are not drying at all. The color pay off is amazing. If you can grab some - do so, you won't be disappointed!

What type of scent do they have..and is it strong/noticeable?

They are scented with something perfume-y. I can't really identify the scent per se, though it reminds me of Guerlain's fragrance for their powders (which reminds me of Mr. Bubble, lol). I didn't notice it until you asked, though it's definitely there when I went to sniff it.

Wow - those are some red lips! Very beautiful color - the formula really does look rich & creamy. Two pros in my book!
