I very rarely match my polish. I’ve got too many bottles of polish, and I try to use them all. matching would get in the way hahaa

Only in the summer do they both match or when i’m wearing open toe shoes or sandals.

I chose other because in the summertime my toes and hands always match, I’m a little OCD about it. But I’m the winter they never do, only because my pedicures last for weeks and in between I have to keep re-polishing my nail and no one sees my feet anyway.

  4. I never match my toes and tips (i.e., the same color), but I do try to make them complement each other.

Never! I have a lot of polish; I try to wear everything at least once to justify adding more to my stash :-P

I never paint my toe nails, I just hate my toes !

I try to make them complement each other. For special events, I definitely make sure they are similar shades and coordinate with my outfit

  8. I only use nailpolish on my toes once every year, and that is when i go on vacation. I usually go to Turkey, but this year it is Spain! I then use a neon colour, my favorite is a neon pink from Depend.

Most of the time my nails and toenails are painted in the same color family (if I have a light pink on my nails, I may have a dark or bright pink on my toes). Sometimes though, I’ll have something like dark green on the toes and an orange or coral on my fingers and that definitively doesn’t match.

lol! I’m lucky if I have my hands done:P

I never match my polish. I try to choose colors that complement each other though, but I’ve always had a thing against being “matchy-matchy.”

No! Too many colors, so few digits!
Besides, the toes are done in a bombproof style to last. It would look awful on fingers.

Typically my fingernails and toenails do NOT match .. Not even a similiar colour. But every once in a blue moon they do match.

I worked at a very relaxed company and wore flip-flops a whole lot during Spring and Summer. I had a lady tell me that it’s not proper to have mismatched fingernails and toes. I looked at her and said it is not proper to line your lips with a much darker lipliner than the lipstick you are wearing. I then walked off and left her with a dumb-founded look on her face.

To be honest though, make-up makes each one of us different and stepping outside the box is important. I say wear what you want and wear it well!!

  14. Very rarely, although it did last week, for once!
I tend to use brighter colours on my toenails, usually like red or bright blues or pink, and on my fingernails I wear every color imaginable, including darks and greens and browns, that i don’t like to put on my toenails because I feel it can look like some sort of fungus or infection and just not clean, and I like to look clean because I am!

Currently wearing OPI Warm & Fozzie from the Muppets collection on my fingernails and OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold ‘Em from the Texas collection on my toe nails.
I’m not bothered about being too matchy matchy :)

  15. Mine never matches and I hate being matchy. I like different colors on fingers and toes.

When I paint my nails, I like my toes to coordinate. Like, if I do pink nails with a black accent I would do black toe nails with a pink accent. Bad example, I know, but you get the idea, right? lol!

  17. I do not match my finger nail polish to my toe nail polish very often because I find that my finger nail polish chips more often than my toes. Plus, I have certain colors I love on my hands but hate on my toes: blues, greens, yellows, etc.

I never match them! It would be too much, just like you only accentuate one feature at a time with clothes or makeup, same with your toes. Neutral on one and some flash on the other. Sometimes toes go bold and sometimes I play up the fingers. And for sure, they are NEVER the same colour. Its kind of a rule.

I like to coordinate my hands with my feet in the summer. During the winter and spring, I am not that fussy.

Does anyone else think that people stopped doing this after the 90s?

  21. tigress

Other – I never paint my toenails.

  22. Never! I find it quite boring, plus I always have tons of polishes to try.

  23. Michelle jadaa

Toes are for the wild crazy colours so i can be classic on the outside yet know theres a hint of cheekiness hidden in my shoes lol.

  24. Jazz

nope, its a rare occasion that my nails are polished anyway

  25. Nicole

I normally don’t think about matching my nail hand color to my toe color. I use the color, I like to wear, either on my handy or my toes. It’s more important for me, that I like it. I usually wear pinks and brights onmy toes and stay more classic on my hands.

  26. Nikki

In the summer, I try to make the colors complementary at least.

  27. Amy

My toes are either painted red or some neutral color so that no matter what shoes or outfit I wear, it always looks good. My fingernails, however, are painted at least every three days with whatever polish fits my mood. I don’t really care if they polishes match, only if the combinations make me look tacky.
